This will be a more upbeat post, because I had a really good day today subbing at North Middle. I'm lucky to have the same sub job for three days in a row (yesterday, today, and tomorrow), which is always nice because I can get to know the kids a little bit better and be more productive

This was a great, great post. Two thumbs way, way up! People like you actually make jobs like mine easier, because when I get the sad, messed-up high schoolers, they often have a story about a teacher or sub or parent's friend, etc. who showed them care and concern. You ARE making a difference!

Also, I cannot believe you posted something about the Hmong people. That has been my #1 world issue that I care about and it feels like nobody knows about it! I even told Derek that if we adopted a child, s/he would absolutely have to be Hmong. Weeeeird.
