I met my landlord today who told me I would probably never see him unless something went wrong, which is sweet. Pretty much I get to do whatever I want to the place...no major alterations of

hey i talked to miana and she gave me some pointers...first off your upstairs neighbor lady is best friends with some drug cop or some such shit which won't bother you much but i guess he stays there often and has threatened the landlord that he was going to make an arrest if he smelled that much pot in the building again or some such shit (guess the former tennents were pot-a-holics) that and she has the name and number of some guy (beers i think) who works with the tennant services and he has it in for your landlord who is i guess bad about fixing anything so she says all you need to do is call this guy and your landlord will jump through hoops to keep you happy. good stuff. with her help you will be snug as a bug in a rug there!! yay!
