My 38th birthday was yesterday. Now frankly... the whole "birthday" business jumps the shark around 37 or so. I'm now officially in my "late 30's", what's there to get excited about? It's not like I'm depressed about it or anything, I just wasn't feeling the whole thing. Dave got me flowers and that was nice and all... but I got my one present

I absolutely 100% loud-and-clear hear you on the birthday blasé. I feel you, JJ. Dino finds it effective to save the hoorah for the five's (35, 40, 45, etc). Personally, I'm more for the 10's. But either one definitely seems to make it notable again.

That said, Happy Birthday! *hugs* :-)
