Happy Cal Day, my friends! I have waited so very patiently for so long, I'm almost afraid to open it. My men with swords and huge fucking guns are back! What are you waiting for? Click on the pretty badass already!
Yay! Seriously, it was one of those days yesterday where I wished I could be the kind of parent who randomly sends the kids to their rooms, but alas, I'm not. I got about a third through after everybody went to bed. I knew he would, but Goodfellow is breaking my damn heart.
It's about 2240 on Thursday night, and I just finished.
*thud*
I'm exhausted now, but it's so very worth it. I actually had to pug it down a few times over the last few days for my own sanity. I was that overwhelmed. I'm just ... Yeah. But I won't say anything more until you're done.
Are you kidding?! I'm so very excited now! I found these guys about four years ago and plowed through the first five books one right after the other. I mean, I guess I'll put it this way: these books are where my dog gets his (rather appropriate) name. That should tell you how much both Boy and I love these books. If we can recruit anyone to them, it's a win all around. Yay! You're going to have so much fun!
And yes, we are all happy around here. There was some drama over the weekend -- a set of sisters the girls play with kicked Deuce out of the playhouse and told her she couldn't play with them because she doesn't believe in god -- and my family back home is bizarre, but we here are good. It's been a strange summer, and it's going too fast.
And Cal just got into the recycling, so I'm off. Everybody good your way? Smile, Sunshine!

I hope the day wasn't too dreary!
