Summary: Why is he remembering now. Because Kota is in front of him. He`s more beautiful than he can remember and his feelings haven`t changed the past six years.
Hikaru is bully as always.
``You`re beautiful like a girl and you have a high pitched voice.Are you sure you`re a boy!``
The other kids laughed and started poking fun.
``You have a high pitched voice too!``
``Unlike you, I don`t look like a girl.``
``I`m a boy, you stupid brat!``
His face was filled with sadness and contempt. Then he landed a punch on Hikaru`s face.
Even though he`s skinny, he`s still a boy and can throw a punch.
It was the last memory he had of Yabu Kota and it was on their 5th grade. He transferred school after that.
So why is he remembering now. Because Kota is in front of him. He`s more beautiful than he can remember and his feelings haven`t changed the past six years.
``Kou!`` Hikaru blurted out. God, how he missed him.
He felt embarrassed when his classmates looked at him. He sat down again.
``Introduce yourself.``
He nodded at the teacher and bowed.
``My name`s Yabu Kota.Please take care of me.``
``There`s an empty desk at the back, you can stay there.``
He bowed again and walked to my direction.Our eyes met.
``Kou.``
I was supposed to be happy that we met again but what`s in front of me is indeed Kota, without any emotion.He looked at me blankly and sat down.
``Do you hate me that much,Kou.``
``They said that he was about to cut his face only his teacher was able to be get there on time.
``Is that really!``
``The kids were also shocked and the parents demanded that he`ll be kicked out of school.``
``How could they do that.``
``Poor kid. He must have hated his face.``
``My wife`s family used to be their neighbor. They said that they decided to left for he was seriously bullied by the kids.He wanted to come back and ran away from home but he was kidnapped. He was about to be sold but he escaped and the police found him.It was the second time that he was kidnapped and after the last one, the boy changed.``
``So he wanted to come back. He must have found a good friend then.``
``Is it true. Did you want to come back after everything that had happened.``
I have to apologize.
If he`s still the same Kota, I know where to find him.
He`s at the dark part of the thin woods where we used to walk home. He`s a big creep who loves the dark. He said that the dark would definitely hide his face and nobody would see it. Whenever the kids would make fun of him, he would run here.
You`re back and I won`t let you go again. I walked towards him but I stopped when I saw what he was holding.He raised his hands and aimed at his face.
``Stop it, Kou!``
I ran as fast as I could.I wrestled with him to take the knife.
He`s strong, but I`m stronger.
When I got the knife, Kota sat on the ground, helpless.
``Hikaru, why did you stop me. I almost hurt you again.``
What is he saying.
``Your hands..``
Then I remember. My left hand got was pierced by a knife when I fought with a man who tried to kidnap Kota when we were kids. On this same place.
``You`re going to hate me again.``
``Kou, I never hated you. I punished myself for bullying you after the incident.Because..because..I was young. I was afraid that the other kids would make fun of me too..because I liked you.
``Hikaru, I wanted to come back and say sorry but I..``I stopped him.
``If you were able to return that time.I might have hurt you more because I placed more importance to myself.But I loved you Kou.You have been my everything the moment I saw you when we were kids.Stop hurting yourself. I`ll protect you. I promise.``
``Hikaru. I love you too.``
``I`ve missed you Kou..very much. I`ve always been waiting for you to come back.``
``I`m back.``
