A Little Poetry

I came across this poem today in the book Please Bury Me in the Library.

Great, Good, Bad

A great book is a homing device
      For navigating paradise.

A good book somehow makes you care
About the comfort of a chair.

A bad book owes to many trees
    A forest of apologies.

I'm about 3/4 of the way through Chalice. It has been hard to get into and I don't think it's one I'll buy or read again. Spindle's End was the last book of hers that I really enjoyed.

I actually got an advance reader copy of Hunger Games back in April. Still haven't read it yet, but everyone is raving about it. My sister-in-law is reading it right now. I may get to it over Christmas.

Next on my reading list is "Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow" by Jessica Day George. Haven't heard anything about it yet, but the jacket describes it as being based on East of the Sun, West of the Moon with a touch of Beauty and the Beast. I'm always a sucker for anything remotely like a fairytale.
