In no way am I making fun of you, but your statement reminded me of an idea from Terry Pratchett's Discworld series that explains why there seem to be so many weird bookshops that appear and disappear. They are in fact shifting between dimansions because books contain knowledge, and knowledge=power=energy=matter=mass...so a good bookshop is really just a genteel black hole.
