lately i feel that when i talk to certain people i do nothing but complain and i worry that i've become a Negative Nancy. granted, a lot of these complaints are related to role-play and rpgs and when you've got a group of people together in a creative setting, creative differences will always rear it's head. it's inevitable. i don't know, i think ( Read more... )

I have had this problem before when I would play online games with people. I never did role play before but I totally understand. We would all get together I used to love it but I started getting annoyed with people I played with for a long time. What I did was step away from the game for a little bit. It seemed to work for me and I didn't seem to get annoyed. Maybe try talking about is bothering you to the people you role play with I always felt that it is good to talk with everyone maybe even talk about what your new interests are.

no, it's ok! :) originally, i would have talked to them, but my annoyances got to the point where i didn't know i could stay civil while we hashed things out and i'm sure you (and anyone, really) knows that a level head needs to be kept in these sort of situations. the group that i had RP'd with for over 10 years, i left for the reasons mentioned, but mostly because my interests just went in a different direction than theirs. it was primarily a buffy the vampire slayer fandom and with all the new vampires/supernatural-oriented shows out now, i just finally figured out that i wanted to try new things in those fandoms and, generally, just branch out.

That's good its nice to try new things branch out.Yup I know you gotta keep a level head with these things. It sucks that you had to leave your group after 10 years. Maybe in the future you can return
