A buddy of mine used to live in an apt with his hubby, two dogs (one a goldie), three cats and four fish. It can be done. Just be prepared to do A LOT of walking with him on a daily basis.

It is extremely hard, almost cruel on a dog like that. Dogs like my Pom are much better suited to apartments and are very good companions.

Animla planet has a series called "Dog 101" Amazingly the best apart,emt dog is a few of the very large breeds, as they love to lounge around the house.
