So, much was accomplished. The ale was brewed, the wort is resting, and I'll probably pitch the yeast before bed. I'm a little nervous - it's a long time for it to cool before I seal it up, but I can't reall sanitize my counter-flow wort chiller right now, so I've gotta do it the slow way ( Read more... )

The noucato sounds very interesting. I'm hoping tomorrow we'll set the plan for cooking at CP and we can start getting ready. Although hypocras is rising to the top of my list.

When it's cold and damp, there's nothing better than a cup of mulled hypocras...except maybe two or three cups of mulled hypocras. If you mull it long enough, you can even cook off most of the alcohol. Sometimes, that's an important consideration.
