To my friends in Pennsylvania

I'm going to be in Media, PA this weekend for an event, and I have a question; does Pennsylvania still ban the importation of firewood? It looks like the weather on Friday is going to SUCK, and I'm going to need to get a fire going first thing on Saturday, so I'll need dry wood. Debatably period...we know it was sometimes mined and used at the time, but it's REALLY not suitable for cooking. Coal makes food taste really awful.

Ahhh! I'm a dork. Forgot about the cooking. Judging by how coal smells while burning, I can totally see how it would alter the taste of food. Bleah!

CP doesn't provide firewood or just not necessarily dry firewood? We will need a fire early on Saturday as well.

They had LOTS of firewood last year, but it was in fairly large logs, and I don't know if it's stored under cover. It took so drying out to be really useful, and I expect it to be raining HARD on Friday, so I'm assuming that it will be at least damp on the surface, if well-seasoned.

Now the weather is calling for rain on Saturday as well ... and chilly. Mulled cider and wine are definitely happening.
