Oh man, berry picking with my two year old twins was a HUGE hit. We went earlier in the mornings on cooler, cloudier days and they LOVED it. They picked berries and shoveled them into their mouths while I filled the buckets. We did it last month and at the beginning of this month, and still when they see the buckets they start talking with excitement about berry picking :D

And your pie...man, does that look good.

Your children are exceptional. they may also be at that stage where everything is new and exciting though. Slightly older kids are not so easily enchanted by monotonous labor. I was really excited about it myself until I realized it was just too hot to stand for more than an hour. (I'm such a pansy.) :)
