There is the delicate clearing of a throat and then Thom's voice comes across the Net.As it seems that today is a day for a proper 'tea' I though some of you might appreciate a quick run down of 'tea' ettiquette. It's ordeals like this that make me glad I was born a man. Although, some details of these teas are different from the ones I attended. I suppose things change with time and place.

I have to admit that I learned my own hosting skills at my grandmother's knee and she was quite particular to these rules.

My aunts were all rather strict and proper as well, but I rarely saw them, so I didn't have to endure all this. Nor could I, given my life then--

My aunts were the bane of my grandmother's existance, more interesting in being proper career women than socialites. Thus she focused on the generation that couldn't drive away yet.

No, that's not fair, I actually enjoyed this sort of thing, growing up.

I can see your point, though I would counter that when properly weilded, manners can be both sword and shield in almost any argument.
