I want to hear other people's thoughts on Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2. Was I the only one stupid enough to read the book the night before and then be disappointed by the screenwriters choices of omissions and add-ins

I read from The Princes Tale on day before the movie. I was glad I did. Because the entire end seemed perfect to me. I think they did a good job of putting in what needed to be in, changing it a bit, and just being awesome. I like that they change things, because it's like you get 2 versions of something wonderful, not just one.
And The Princes Tale. I was a crying baby. What they added in there with Snape going to the house. I lost it. Totally. I couldn't get it together after that.
See, I don't agree that they put in what they needed to. They never talked about the Hallows or what to do in the end, the end battle scene didn't have an audience where Harry explains all the reasons Voldemort is going down, Harry and Dumbledore didn't talk about all the reasons why everything happened at King's cross...I felt like those were not just important, but pivotal things they left out. I loved the flashback, too. Like I told you before it was probably my favorite part. I thought it was creepy how shape just sat there with the body as baby Harry cries, though. I think that has something to do with the mom hormones and being like, "how can he just let that baby cry???" haha
