Today's weight: 159.8! A loss of 2.8 pounds. FINALLY, I'm out of the 160s! And, I'm less than 2 pounds away from the 90 pound mark and a normal BMI. Never thought I'd live to see the day, haha ( Read more... )

Yay! You are closing in on your goal now aren't you? Isn't it 155?

Eh, my goal is kinda changing these days, haha. It was 148 so I could lose an even 100 pounds, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to maintain that. If not, I'll probably settle somewhere between 150 and 155.

Yeah, maintaining is what made me consider raising my goal. Originally my goal was 135 (I'm almost 5'6") but I changed it to 140 and I'd even consider 145. I figured I could pick a little bit higher of a goal weight and then work on toning. Currently my goal is still 140 but we shall see. :)

how long have you been doing the two-snack-a-day plan? I just started that myself and while it does feel a little odd to be eating so frequently (that sounds strange coming from the championship snacker doesn't it), it is also a lot more comfortable for me.

I've been doing it for at least a year, if not longer. i need a snack in the morning because i'm always hungry the first half of the day and the afternoon snack is to hold me over until dinner or give me a source of energy for my trip to the gym after work. my workouts tend to be pretty vigorous, so i need a little something beforehand to keep me going.

it's not for everyone, but it works for me.

GREAT JOB! I am so proud of you. You are SO close. I really hope you can learn from me and continue on with what you are doing, and not gain back 20 lbs and have a hard time losing it again. If you find the secret to maintenance, you have to share!

Thanks! As for maintenance, the plan is to just continue to track everything I eat and keep my activity up (though maybe keep it moderate and not as vigorous as it is now). We'll see how I do when I get there!
