Open letter to Gina Torres

While it is lovely to see you on my television screen again, didn't you learn your lesson? It does not matter how clever the writer and/or creator are, it does not matter how wonderful the big-name star is (and I admit Ron Livingston certainly is wonderful) -- why would you sign on to another FOX show? It is well and truly doomed.

And really, at the end of the day, that's what matters to working actors like Torres.

True. And so I wish she had more to choose from. I thought this show was decidedly mediocre.

we saw the ads for its premier last night. but i didn't feel like watching it, so we watched a netflix movie instead.

personally, i thought the concept could have made a REALLY good action movie about the air traffic control tower hostage situation rather than trying to squeeze it all into a TV episode with commercials in between the action. then you have the secondary problem of trying to come up with new hostage situations every week. i think the concept could grow stale in a hurry, which is partly why i didn't want to watch it. as you pointed out, it won't be around long. it's the FAUX network afterall.
