1. I think it was a progression from the mdrf community, to Keith (who I sort of knew through Tim), to you.

5. i'm not quite sure. i think it's a result of 3, actually. maybe because i'm happy a lot and take joy in so many things, and do not appear to be cynical or jaded about things that most people are cynical about, it comes off as innocence. catch more flies with honey than vinegar? hehe.

as for trying to con people, i'm also a terrible liar. lying also takes a concerted effort that i'm not willing or able to keep up. i don't understand people who work so hard at it. what's the point in that? there's a quote that goes something like "if you always tell the truth, you don't have to try and remember anything." *g*

so no, no conning is involved.

the most i've ever "conned" anyone is to not correct their misperception of my supposed innocence! people believe what they want to anyway, so why bother?

2) Galliard? Fascinating, I haven't done one of those in years (we tried Buffens about 10 years ago and couldn't get it solid).

5) He worked in the building that connected to mine and had seen me in the eatery between the buildings then saw me at Fest. Acroyear70 invited him to dinner with us one Sunday in 1998 and we ended up sitting in the parking lot talking until about 2 or 3 in the morning. I recruited him to help me with Godspell spring of '99. Later that fall Rionnkelly was trying to get a group to go to the Solstice feast and Java agreed so I was scrounging costume pieces from various people and had him come over to my Mom's (I was house sitting) to fit the various pieces and we sat talking (and watching Cirque on Bravo) until the sun came up. Started dating a few weeks later (Dec. 99).
6) I love the animation that Silmaril did for me of that one. The litebrite site is fun to play with. At some point I need to get a real carousel picture (or set of them).

4. Be glad I didn't ask you your opinion of the state of American society...oh, wait. I already ranted about that last night.
5. Ironweed disbanded after 12 years of performance. It was time for us all to work on different things. We had a much longer run than most bands, and we produced at least one album that I was very happy with. Thanks for remembering us.
