I'm going to be 18 tomorrow. That sounds so much older than 17. Maybe not, I'm just weird. But I'm legally an adult, which is absolutely rediculous.

I stole this from Allie:

1. What did you do in 2005 that you'd never done before?
Hm. Lots of illegal activities. Drunken hook-ups. College apps (still not finished ahh!) Got really close with my mom. Figured out what I wanted to do with my life.

2. Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year?
Who honestly keeps their resolutions? And yes I plan to make more, which I probably will not keep either.

3. Did anyone close to you give birth?
Not really close, but my cousin had a baby.

4. Did anyone close to you die?
Not close, but Christina, rest in peace. Also Uncle Don.

. What countries did you visit?
I was unfortunately here in the US for the entire duration of '05.

6. What would you like to have in 2006 that you lacked in 2005?
Real love.

7. What date from 2005 will remain etched upon your memory, and why?
Umm I don't know exact dates. But there will be lots and lots and lots of moments, good and bad, that I will never forget.

8. What was your biggest achievement of the year?
My gpa. Getting accepted to college. I don't know, I didn't do very impressive things this year.

9. What was your biggest failure?
Trusting too much. Insecurity. Oh and basically the entire first half of the year.

10. Did you suffer illness or injury?
Nothing too extreme. At least not that I know of yet.

11. What was the best thing you bought?
My most valued "possessions" of 2005 were not bought or paid for.

12. Whose behavior merited celebration?
The Five. For being the actual most amazing girls I have ever met. For basically saving 2005 for me.

13. Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed?
I've been disgusted or appalled or let down by a lot of people this year. But I'm over it. And I'm not discussing it here.

14. Where did most of your money go?
Food and gas and weed and alcohol.

15. What did you get really, really, really excited about?
Having real friends for the first time in years.

16. What song(s) will always remind you of 2005?
The Faint was my entire summer. Also "Gin and Juice", "Put Ya Back Into It", "Gasolina".

17. Compared to this time last year, are you
i. happier or sadder?: oh my god happy.
ii. thinner or fatter?: I'm fucking huge aldskfjalds.
iii. richer or poorer?: I have no money.

18. What do you wish you'd done more of?
Partying? I don't really know.

19. What do you wish you'd done less of?
Wasting time crying.

20. How will you spend Christmas?
With my family. :)

22. Did you fall in love in 2005?
Nope, out.

hahah.

24. What was your favorite TV program?
I don't watch much TV. I guess "Everwood" because my mom and I watch that together every week.

25. Do you hate anyone now that you didn't hate this time last year?
I think hate's too strong a word. But um yeah some people make me sick.

26. What was the best book you read?
No idea, I read a lot.

27. What was your greatest musical discovery?
Oh wow a lot. But right now Stars is the first thing that comes to mind.

28. What did you want and get?
Amazing amazing friends.

A meaningful relationship.

30. What was your favorite film of this year?
I don't have one. My favorite movies are all kinda old.

31. What did you do on your birthday?
My birthday's tomorrow! And I will be spending it with the most wonderful girls I know.

32. What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying?
This is tough. Because I'm so satisfied right now. I kind of feel like everything that happened brought me to where I am right now. I'm overthinking this. But changing one thing would've had way too many consequences, and then where would I be now?

33. How would you describe your personal fashion concept in 2005?
I don't know? Not important?

34. What kept you sane?
Friends. Being able to just drive and drive when I needed to think. Marijuana. Alcohol.

35. Which celebrity/public figure did you fancy the most?
I don't care about them really.

36. What political issue stirred you the most?
War. Gay marriage.

37. Who did you miss?
For the first few months of the year, this just goes without saying. Also the kids from 9th grade. And just the way things were then, in general.

38. Who was the best new person you met?
I've gotten insanely close with Bree, Courtney, Jeanne, and Sara. I knew them (minus Sara) but never really hung out with them. Oh and CATHERINE FARO. I love her.

39. Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2005:
I've mostly learned about the importance of being true to yourself.

40. Quote a song lyric that sums up your year:
This requires too much thought.
