"Congratulations!" Felix said happily, arms wide for emphasis as he hurried over to Sookie in the wake of her win. "Of course, it didn't come as much of a surprise, we all saw this coming a mile away -- particularly with the population's history of repeat appointments -- but no, still, this is a real accomplishment, felicitations!"

Although Sookie still didn't feel that she understood Felix entirely, after the collective trip to Bristol, the blonde was feeling that she was beginning to better understand the way that Felix operated. There was a certain lack of tact in the man, and while it grated on Sookie's nerves at times (gran had always stressed Southern hospitality, even in the face of glaring exceptions to the rule in Bon Temps, like a certain Fortenberry), on the whole she found it oddly endearing. Particularly that night, when she was loath to think of anything or anyone negatively. She rested a hand on Felix's shoulder and leaned in for a kiss on his cheek, beaming form ear to ear.

"Well, y'know what they say about incumbents," Sookie replied in turn with an arched brow, taking the compliment where she could get it. "But thank you, Felix, I'm real excited that the island didn't decide to cut my time on the Council short. Guess I'm not too much of a blonde."
