Game 28, round 4 lines

Aug 15, 2009 13:01

Here are the lines for Agatha Christie's The Mysterious Affair at Syles. I'll try to send out reminder posts for the next book, because we aren't getting very many lines.

  1. Styles was the sort of household where you played croquet on the lawn on fine afternoons, and then had cucumber sandwiches for tea.
  2. I have never, to my knowledge, been described as a modest man.
  3. The intense interest aroused in the public by what was known at the time as "The Styles Case" has now somewhat subsided.
  4. "Arthur Hastings as I live and breathe!"
  5. My wife might say it's frightful cheek to tell you about the Styles affair, but it's a story that, though true, grows in the telling.
