The lines are in.

1. If there was one thing Parker truly hated, it was feeling like he wasn't in control.

2. It was too good to be true.

3. Parker coughed, and wiped away the blood from his lips; it had not been a good day.

4. Parker counted over the details of the plan as he approached the floating casino.

5. Parker gazed out of the penthouse window at the gem-like sparkle of the skyscrapers further downtown.

6. Parker smiled to himself as he settled behind a garbage can and aimed the gun at the bar's back door.

7. "So, what do you think?"

8. The case felt as wrong as a snowstorm in June, Parker thought as he reached into the bottom drawer of the desk and pulled out the bottle of cheap bourbon,

9. There were only three things that Parker trusted in this world: his gun, his wits, and the gullibility of others.

10. When night fell, Parker was ready, pistol in hand.

11. When the car stopped rolling, Parker kicked out the rest of the windshield and crawled through onto the wrinkled hood, Glock first.
