Lines are in.
1: It was a damp November day, and my shoulder was aching abominably, when I first met Mr. Sherlock Holmes.
2: My military service in Afghanistan ended soon after it began, leaving me to return to England with a only a small pension and my health in ruins.
3: I had recently returned from Afghanistan and was seeking lodgings in London on the meagre funds of a military pension.
4: In the year 1878 I took my degree of Doctor of Medicine of the University of London, and proceeded to Netley to go through the course prescribed for surgeons in the army.
5: In 1881, I had been invalided out of the army and had retired to London, where I sat in my cold rooms with little to do and even less purpose.
6: It was not uncommon for three days to pass without greeting an old acquaintance.
7:Truly, there I was, in hospital such as could be found in the Crown's Indian possessions.
So which line is the true villain?
