Game thirty three book five

Jan 08, 2010 19:09

Poll The lines are

1: I'm sure the late Empress expected me to recognise the freedman immediately, but I didn't.

2: I was strolling along the Via Flaminia after a hard session with my trainer, when a group of raucous voices called to me from the Campus Martius, and I tensed for trouble.

3: I would never have said that I missed the sounds, and especially the smells, of Rome.

4:  Magistrate Kaeso Grattius adjusted his toga praetexta so that the broad purple stripe could be seen clearly and reached for his baton of office on the small side table.

5: The smoke from Dad's pyre gusted among the tombs, plain, ordinary woodsmoke, with no spices or perfumes to mask the more unpleasant smells.

6: Each day on Cyprus was just like the last; hot, sunny, and boring beyond belief.

Deadline Monday at eight pm unless everyone I can reasonably expect to vote does so earlier.
