Game 45, Round 4 - lines

Apr 10, 2011 18:34

Much delayed, here are the lines for The First Men in the Moon:

1. Professor Cavor was neither well-regarded nor well-liked in the halls of Oxford.
2. The house on the Sussex Downs met my requirements in all respects - save one.
3. Following the discovery of Cavorite, the construction of the craft was the logical conclusion.
4. I first heard of Cavor's fascinating discovery, not at the meeting of the Royal Astronomical Society, but in the tavern before-hand.
5. "Look Cavor! So close we could all but touch her!"
6. As I sit down to write here admidst the shadows of vine-leaves under the blue sky of southern Italy, it comes to me with a certain quality of astonishment that my participation in these amazing adventures of Mr Cavor was, after all, the outcome of the purest chance.
