Apologies for the long delay in getting to the lines - due to circumstances beyond my control, I was unexpectedly internet-less for a time. But I'm back now, so here we go...
1. The appeal of travel could only last so long in Rose Campbell's heart, and thus, not unlike a homing pigeon or, perhaps, a lost cat, she eventually and inevitably returned to that place from whence she had first ventured.
2. The late spring blossom fell gently from the trees lining the avenue as Miss Rose Campbell opened the gate to the "Aunt Hill" for the first time in two years.
3. The one thing on which all Boston agreed was that Rose Campbell could have seen nothing worthwhile on her travels that could not be seen in Boston.
4. Three young men stood together on a wharf one bright October day awaiting the arrival of an ocean steamer with an impatience which found a vent in lively skirmishes with a small lad, who pervaded the premises like a will-o'-the-wisp and afforded much amusement to the other groups assembled there.
