Esca/Marcus - whore!Esca AU

Marcus, a Roman commander, is traveling from one place to another, encounters bad weather, and is forced to stay at a nearby inn for several days. It's a shady establishment that also offers their guests the services of whores/bed slaves. Esca is one of them.

Esca catches Marcus' eye and Marcus requests for him. Esca goes to his room, they have sex, Esca leaves. The next evening, Marcus sees Esca entertaining a group of roughnecks, who're roughing up him badly. Marcus saves Esca by requesting him again, this time paying for the entire night.

Cue Marcus falling for Esca and Esca being too jaded and wary to believe that anyone would want him for anything else besides his body. And what happens when it's time for Marcus to leave the inn and continue his journey?

Wow. Another fantastic classic trope, and you've given it a great set-up. Want this badly. Even your prompt nearly made me cry! Fanfic is so brilliant.

This is not quite what the prompt wants - although it does have the basic aspects. Its also probably not very good, and not really completed but hey there is sex already written and it's suck might well stimulate someone to do a better job. Thanks to the usual person, that lovely one whose livejournal name begins with a p, ends in an a, and has an oziomeczk in the middle.A storm is threatened, and the sky above Marcus turns fouler and grayer as he rides, until now, where it looks as if the violent weather is finally imminent
