Sometime after he is freed, Esca asks Marcus why he never used him sexually. This actually hadn't occurred to Marcus, but now he can't stop thinking about sex with Esca. Bonus points if he wants things that are shameful for a Roman citizen to want from/with a barbarian British libertus and Marcus struggles with that.

Movie or bookverse is fine, although I don't remember the book well and the movie is delightfully fresh in my mind. (Jamie Bell with tattoos, umf.)
