Intro Post - No Event {Mild Aphro}

As the girl slipped slowly back to consciousness, something was off. It took a moment for her to fully register what exactly seemed out of place, but it soon became obvious when she tried to shift her weight in order to roll over, the many layers of the long skirt of her gown limiting her movement.

Her gown? Why was she still in her clothes if she ( Read more... )

Gourry wasn't sure where he was anymore. The hotel was so big, and without Lina around to guide him he'd wandered into the elevator a few days ago and couldn't find his way back to anywhere he recognized! All of these halls looked the same, but what was worse was that he was hungry.

When the door opened, he turned, wearing one of his creepier, half-dead expressions. "Food...?"

Needless to say, once she had exited the room, Amelia had been posed to face foes and conquer evils that hid in this strange place. Unfortunately, when Gourry turned with his face sunken in, her impulses had kicked in, while her eyes shut in fright.

She acted on instinct; by throwing a hard punch.

Slowly, she opened her eyes again, and suddenly realized that the mess of a person she had struck was somone she knew.

"Ah! Mr Gourry! Mr Gourry are you okay?!" she flailed, rushing over to him.

Gourry opened his mouth right as that punch connected, nearly swallowing her fist before the momentum sent him flying helplessly into the wall. The wall was left with a nice Gourry shaped outline, while the blond swordsman flopped down to the ground. He seemed alert now at least.

"Amelia? What are you doing here?"

As she stopped and bent over, Amelia watched as his expression changed back to normal. That would make things easier.

"I have no idea. I was hoping you could answer that for me." she sighed, attempting to help him up. "I am so sorry Mr Gourry, I didn't mean to hit you. I thought you were a villain."

Really, she was maybe being a bit too optomistic to expect many coherant answers from the swordsman. Regardless she felt bad for reacting like that, muttering a quick recovery spell to heal the bruising on his face.

"Huh?" Gourry stands up with her help and looks at what he's wearing. No dark colors, in fact it's what he always wore. Maybe it was a trick of the light. It didn't matter, he was happy to see someone he recognized. And remembered their name.

"I've been here for a while," he said, rubbing his chin, which was now healed. "They have really good restaurants! That's where I was going when I found you. Isn't that why we came?"

Admittedly she had jumped the gun a bit, but who could blame her? Gourry and Lina both looked frightening when they were hungry. Still, at least she was able to make up for her mistake.

"Um, I don't think so Mr Gourry." Amelia replied awkwardly. "I was in Seyruun and just suddenly woke up here. We didn't come here of our own accord."

Gourry looked at her, staring pretty much. Something was off, something he couldn't quite figure out. Did she always dress like that? People normally didn't sleep in their clothes, but Amelia was a little peculiar. He struggled to come up with something but it just never came.

"I've been awake all morning," he replied, peering behind her into the room. "I was going to get lunch when you hit me. I guess we should probably go back to Seyruun." Gourry looked down the hall back and forth. "Um..."

Amelia glanced back at the door, sighing heavily. There was no obvious exit, and even if the swordsman knew anything, he'd probably forgotten about it already. This was going to be tricky.

"Well, no sense traveling on an empty stomach right? Why don't we get you something to eat, then we'll figure out where to go, okay?" she laughed nervously. This was probably the best option for now. If they tried to make heads or tails of the situation, nevermind in a way Gourry wouldn't find confusing, they'd be there all day.

Gourry knew a few things about the hotel, but those were obvious things. The walls were red, the air was warm, and the food was delicious. And there was a box that moved people around between floors! He remembered that, having gotten stuck in it enough times. He had no idea how to work it though, so if no one else got on with him, he'd sit there until they did. It was horrible!

"Now you're talking!" He chimed, looking down the hall back and forth. Which way? He'd smelled something earlier, and after a few sniffs he had it again. "That way!" And off he went.

Well, that was a relief. Seeing Gourry as his usual simple self was a small but welcome comfort amongst the strange goings on. Amelia found herself becoming less tense because of that familiarity.

Of course she knew the promise of food would perk him up. What she hadn't been ready for was him suddenly speeding off in front of her. Did he actually remember where he was going? He'd looked pretty lost before.

"Hey, wait up Mr Gourry." she called out, bunching up the hem of her gown and following as fast as she could.

Gourry hadn't seen too much in the hotel, but he had been dressed up a few times, even changed completely into 'Miss Lala'. Maybe it was for the best he didn't remember most of that ordeal. Any time he saw something pink he got a little freaked out, but fortunately Amelia hadn't given him that reaction. Strange since she'd once dressed him up as a mermaid.

H He had no idea where he was going, but the smell of food called to him. She'd find him stopped in front of a door the next hall over. Inside was a room that looked just like hers, but there was a table with food set out, and two chairs. Gourry rushed in and took a seat, going for the meat first. Maybe the hotel would be nice and keep the food untainted. "See! Mmnomnommm. I knew I smelled food nearby."

Panting slightly as the finally stopped, Amelia paused in the doorway to catch her breath. The setup did seem a little out of place, but the princess did not have any chance to really dwell on the matter as her friend went straight for the food without hesistation.

"That's certainly an impressive skill Mr Gourry." she sighed, walking into the room, only to pause at the table. She knew first hand how aggressive both the swordsman and Lina could get when food was on the line, so she decided to wait things out for now. It was less likely she would lose any of her fingers that way.

Most things seemed out of place in the hotel, not that Gourry would have noticed. The room for instance looked clean as if no lone had been living in it for a while, but in the corner was a crumpled up bit of pink fabric, as if it had been thrown there and forgotten.

Gourry had his way with the table, since Lina wasn't there to fight for the food. Soon he was leaning back in the chair, nearly everything consumed on the table. There was still a few things left in front of Amelia. Maybe he'd missed them, or had thought enough to be considerate. "This place has a lot of smells, but usually it smells like a hot day."

Despite chasing after Gourry clearing her head somewhat, Amelia was still a bit too preoccupied with her own thoughts to take much notice of the fabric, at least for the moment.

In the meantime, she decided to help herself to some of the smaller appetizers now that the blonde male seemed to be finished eating. As she ate and listened to him, she paused to think. Despite not showing it, Gourry could be pretty observant.

"Now that you mention it, it is rather stuffy in here." she remarked, glancing around and noticing there didn't seem to be any windows, despite the size of the room.

The strange thing about that fabric was it was the same sort of dress that Gourry had been dressed in, meaning it was his room and he didn't know it. He was too busy eating and enjoying the feeling after eating to notice it either.

Leaning back in his chair, he watched her eat, wondering how he'd missed those. Oh well, they were small and he was already full for the next hour or so. She needed to eat something too with all the running and jumping she did. "It's always like this, even in the hallways. Every one of them looks the same!" Except that time the teleport box took him to a forest. "It's good to see someone I know. I was starting to wonder what happened to everyone."

It was while she was again glancing around at the surrounding that the material caught Amelia's eye. Even though it was lying in a crumpled heap, it seemed like a pretty large piece of clothing, and very pink. However, she assumed they were in someone else's room, a female bodybuilder perhaps, and only hoped the occupant wouldn't return anytime soon. She considered that they would have to replace the food, though Amelia just hoped she wasn't going to end up in a fight during her first hour being in the hotel.

Listening to Gourry, she had to nod. "It does seem really big..." she pondered, before turning her head on hearing the last part. "So you haven't seen anyone else? Miss Lina or Mr Zelgadiss?" she asked.
