As the girl slipped slowly back to consciousness, something was off. It took a moment for her to fully register what exactly seemed out of place, but it soon became obvious when she tried to shift her weight in order to roll over, the many layers of the long skirt of her gown limiting her movement.
Her gown? Why was she still in her clothes if she

When the door opened, he turned, wearing one of his creepier, half-dead expressions. "Food...?"

She acted on instinct; by throwing a hard punch.
Slowly, she opened her eyes again, and suddenly realized that the mess of a person she had struck was somone she knew.
"Ah! Mr Gourry! Mr Gourry are you okay?!" she flailed, rushing over to him.

"Amelia? What are you doing here?"

"I have no idea. I was hoping you could answer that for me." she sighed, attempting to help him up. "I am so sorry Mr Gourry, I didn't mean to hit you. I thought you were a villain."
Really, she was maybe being a bit too optomistic to expect many coherant answers from the swordsman. Regardless she felt bad for reacting like that, muttering a quick recovery spell to heal the bruising on his face.

"I've been here for a while," he said, rubbing his chin, which was now healed. "They have really good restaurants! That's where I was going when I found you. Isn't that why we came?"
Reply
"Um, I don't think so Mr Gourry." Amelia replied awkwardly. "I was in Seyruun and just suddenly woke up here. We didn't come here of our own accord."

"I've been awake all morning," he replied, peering behind her into the room. "I was going to get lunch when you hit me. I guess we should probably go back to Seyruun." Gourry looked down the hall back and forth. "Um..."

"Well, no sense traveling on an empty stomach right? Why don't we get you something to eat, then we'll figure out where to go, okay?" she laughed nervously. This was probably the best option for now. If they tried to make heads or tails of the situation, nevermind in a way Gourry wouldn't find confusing, they'd be there all day.

"Now you're talking!" He chimed, looking down the hall back and forth. Which way? He'd smelled something earlier, and after a few sniffs he had it again. "That way!" And off he went.

Of course she knew the promise of food would perk him up. What she hadn't been ready for was him suddenly speeding off in front of her. Did he actually remember where he was going? He'd looked pretty lost before.
"Hey, wait up Mr Gourry." she called out, bunching up the hem of her gown and following as fast as she could.

H He had no idea where he was going, but the smell of food called to him. She'd find him stopped in front of a door the next hall over. Inside was a room that looked just like hers, but there was a table with food set out, and two chairs. Gourry rushed in and took a seat, going for the meat first. Maybe the hotel would be nice and keep the food untainted. "See! Mmnomnommm. I knew I smelled food nearby."
Reply
"That's certainly an impressive skill Mr Gourry." she sighed, walking into the room, only to pause at the table. She knew first hand how aggressive both the swordsman and Lina could get when food was on the line, so she decided to wait things out for now. It was less likely she would lose any of her fingers that way.

Gourry had his way with the table, since Lina wasn't there to fight for the food. Soon he was leaning back in the chair, nearly everything consumed on the table. There was still a few things left in front of Amelia. Maybe he'd missed them, or had thought enough to be considerate. "This place has a lot of smells, but usually it smells like a hot day."

In the meantime, she decided to help herself to some of the smaller appetizers now that the blonde male seemed to be finished eating. As she ate and listened to him, she paused to think. Despite not showing it, Gourry could be pretty observant.
"Now that you mention it, it is rather stuffy in here." she remarked, glancing around and noticing there didn't seem to be any windows, despite the size of the room.

Leaning back in his chair, he watched her eat, wondering how he'd missed those. Oh well, they were small and he was already full for the next hour or so. She needed to eat something too with all the running and jumping she did. "It's always like this, even in the hallways. Every one of them looks the same!" Except that time the teleport box took him to a forest. "It's good to see someone I know. I was starting to wonder what happened to everyone."

Listening to Gourry, she had to nod. "It does seem really big..." she pondered, before turning her head on hearing the last part. "So you haven't seen anyone else? Miss Lina or Mr Zelgadiss?" she asked.
