The library was one of Liechtenstein's favourite place to spend his time, burying himself under massive amount of books, pouring over sweet romance novels and getting inspirations for various handicrafts. What a joy it was for the young Nation upon discovering this place, with its endless rows of books and vast ancient halls. He loved the

His laid-back manner does not betray the worry and fear that has gripped him and made him move so fast to make sure that he catches Liechtenstein. He's successful, yes, but what if he hadn't been present? What if Liechtensten had fallen and hurt himself? The younger Nation cannot die so easily, but he can still get hurt. And so long as he's able, he will never let that happen.

He had no idea that Spain was watching him, nor even to suspect that he was the one that had made the young Nation felt goosebumps on his skin earlier. Perhaps the man was here to read, and there was much knowledge to absorb in this place, with its never ending books.
In the end, the young Nation gave a gentle tap to Spain's arm and smiled reassuringly at him. "You have saved me, and I do not think that I have been hurt."

"What book did you want to read?" He inquires, probably as a distraction.

Well, that was a good question to distract the young Nation as he craned his neck to try and find the book he dropped. "I was getting a novel... It fell along with me... somewhere here..." Now if the Spaniard could put him down--

"It is, ah, a romance novel." He mumbled softly, pointing at a certain direction once he spotted the dark blue hard cover novel. The tale told of a particular Spanish knight and a foreign boy who was entranced by the land that the sun never sets. Of course he wasn't going to tell about the few erotic parts in the story.

He spots the dark blue cover easily and he leans down on one knee so Liechtenstein may pick it up. He smiles a bit towards the younger Nation as he mentions what kind of novel it is. "You like those kinds of books?"
Reply
All right, burying his head in the book now and blushing so hard. "I mean... Romance books. Ja, I do." Spain most likely could catch a glimpse of the title too: The Spanish Knight and the Boy.

He knew saying that barely had an effect on Spain, now that the Spaniard was making a bee-line toward the reading area. "This is the second part, so it would be best if you have read the first." In truth, there was no need to have read the first, but the young Nation was trying to delay as much as possible.

An arm wraps around Liechtenstein as the Empire leans back against the chair indolently, as if making himself comfortable on his throne. He waits for Liechtenstein to start reading.

The young Nation sighed inwardly and looked up at Spain with a wry smile, then leaned his head against the man's shoulder, going quiet for a moment as he tried to collect his thoughts and rearrange the storyline. It was probably easier that he wasn't sitting with his back pressed against the other's torso, it would have made storytelling a little more difficult without trying to snap his neck.
He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. There was no way to avoid this. "Very well, this is how it goes... In a land far, far, away..." A pause. "There was a knight. There was a boy." Another pause. Green eyes flickered up to meet similar green ones, as if to ask Must I continue? with a desperate puppy look.

His tone is playful, coaxing. He has a feeling this is a story he will like. A hand lifts to stroke along Liechtenstein's fine blond hair as he waits.

[[ooc: Oh gawd, this story could turn out to be a really nice AU. LOL]]
Spain's cheerful, playful smile and tone was further unfurling the young Nation; the fingers stroking his hair was lulling and coaxing Liechtenstein even more to reveal the story that had held his interest for so long.
"There was a Knight, and there was a Boy." He repeated, though this time there was a shift in his tone, almost storytelling-like, but a condensed version.
"The Knight was a well-known noble in his land, famous for his good looks, and his passionate personalities; setting women's heart a-flutter, and men envied his skills. The Boy was a humble goatherd, poor yet content with his life tending to his goats; he was beloved by all in the village, and he loved them all in return."
Another pause, and an intake of breath while he glanced up to see if Spain was still following him. He was.
"By the fate of the stars above, the Knight stumbled upon the Boy when he saved the young goatherd from the wild mountain wolves. It was... love at first sight." ( ... )

"What is the boy like?" He asks as he smiles into Liechtenstein's eyes, eyes soft and fond. Fingertips lightly smooth through blond hair and down along the line of his throat. "Why did the Knight fall for him?"
Love in real life rarely has concrete reason for happening, but this love is fiction. Spain likes to hear these reasons.

"The Boy... He was young, youthful, with hair the colour of sunlight and eyes that of the pasture. A smile often decorated his sweet lips, a kind temperament and hands always eager to help. It was one of the reasons why the Knight fell for him. In return, the Knight's gentleness, warm gestures and cheerful laugh attracted the Boy, for the Knight was different from the rest of the knights he had came across."
It was also why the young Nation had began to read that title in the first place: the Knight reminded him of Spain, almost as if it was the Spaniard himself.
"Well, from here on is the second half of the first novel..." Once he had Spain's attention, he continued. "The Knight returned to fight for his land, and the Boy to the mountains where he had came from. Not a day passed without either of them missing the other even more, their love growing and expanding with each day. ( ... )
