The library was one of Liechtenstein's favourite place to spend his time, burying himself under massive amount of books, pouring over sweet romance novels and getting inspirations for various handicrafts. "Do I have to?" The Spanish Empire asks, the smile on his face charming and playful, as he holds Liechtenstein in his arms quite easily.

His laid-back manner does not betray the worry and fear that has gripped him and made him move so fast to make sure that he catches Liechtenstein. He's successful, yes, but what if he hadn't been present? What if Liechtensten had fallen and hurt himself? The younger Nation cannot die so easily, but he can still get hurt. And so long as he's able, he will never let that happen.

"Well..." Liechtenstein only flushed slightly deeper, actually not really minding being in the Spaniard's arms just a little longer.

He had no idea that Spain was watching him, nor even to suspect that he was the one that had made the young Nation felt goosebumps on his skin earlier. Perhaps the man was here to read, and there was much knowledge to absorb in this place, with its never ending books.

In the end, the young Nation gave a gentle tap to Spain's arm and smiled reassuringly at him. "You have saved me, and I do not think that I have been hurt."

"You're sure?" Spain asks again even as he just holds Liechtenstein closer, no real intention of putting him down. He'll do this all day, really, if he pleased. And why not when the younger man feels so soft and cuddly against him?

"What book did you want to read?" He inquires, probably as a distraction.

Liechtenstein nodded surely, though really he didn't mind being in Spain's arms. Except that it would be rather embarrassing for him if they were caught by a passer-by in this position.

Well, that was a good question to distract the young Nation as he craned his neck to try and find the book he dropped. "I was getting a novel... It fell along with me... somewhere here..." Now if the Spaniard could put him down--

Spain looks to the direction Liechtenstein looks towards and moves toward it. "Let's get it then~ What kind of novel was it?" It's no issue to him that he's carrying the younger Nation around as they look for his book. Something is just urging him to keep Liechtenstein close and not let him go. As far as he's concerned, it's definitely not a bad idea.

The young Nation felt a little guilty that Spain was carrying him around instead of letting him down, and since the Spaniard didn't release him the first time he asked, he just let it slide.

"It is, ah, a romance novel." He mumbled softly, pointing at a certain direction once he spotted the dark blue hard cover novel. The tale told of a particular Spanish knight and a foreign boy who was entranced by the land that the sun never sets. Of course he wasn't going to tell about the few erotic parts in the story.

If ever Liechtenstein will tell him how guilty he is, he will answer that he doesn't mind. It's his pleasure to be doing this.

He spots the dark blue cover easily and he leans down on one knee so Liechtenstein may pick it up. He smiles a bit towards the younger Nation as he mentions what kind of novel it is. "You like those kinds of books?"

Liechtenstein easily managed to grab the book with ease thanks to Spain, though he nearly dropped it again at the Spaniard's question, blushing deeply. "N-Nein, of course not!" Had Spain found out that those were semi-erotic novels?! Hang on a moment, there was no way the man could have knew it.

All right, burying his head in the book now and blushing so hard. "I mean... Romance books. Ja, I do." Spain most likely could catch a glimpse of the title too: The Spanish Knight and the Boy.

The Spanish Knight and the Boy, hm? That certainly catches Spain's attention, making him quirk an eyebrow. It also makes him very, very curious. "I think I'd like to read this book too..." He says airily as he moves them towards the reading area towards a spacious high-backed chair that they can share.

"W-Was?!" Liechtenstein's head snapped up, eyes wide the size of tea saucers. He almost flailed wildly, nearly causing himself to fall. "Ah... It is not very interesting, actually..."

He knew saying that barely had an effect on Spain, now that the Spaniard was making a bee-line toward the reading area. "This is the second part, so it would be best if you have read the first." In truth, there was no need to have read the first, but the young Nation was trying to delay as much as possible.

"I'm sure you can tell me enough for me to be able to understand~" He says in the same airy tone, hiding a mischievous smile as he settles them over the chair with Liechtenstein over his lap.

An arm wraps around Liechtenstein as the Empire leans back against the chair indolently, as if making himself comfortable on his throne. He waits for Liechtenstein to start reading.

Liechtenstein really was trapped now, wasn't he? Trapped within the strong arms of the Spanish Empire who was also seemingly treating the high-backed chair like a throne, and himself comfortably perched over said Empire's lap. This was going to be a long reading.

The young Nation sighed inwardly and looked up at Spain with a wry smile, then leaned his head against the man's shoulder, going quiet for a moment as he tried to collect his thoughts and rearrange the storyline. It was probably easier that he wasn't sitting with his back pressed against the other's torso, it would have made storytelling a little more difficult without trying to snap his neck.

He took a deep breath and let it out slowly. There was no way to avoid this. "Very well, this is how it goes... In a land far, far, away..." A pause. "There was a knight. There was a boy." Another pause. Green eyes flickered up to meet similar green ones, as if to ask Must I continue? with a desperate puppy look.

The puppy look almost works, but Spain fights to stay firm on this. He wants to know the story of this Spanish knight and his boy. Green eyes meets a similar pair of green with a touch of a cheerful, patient smile. "And what does this knight and this boy do?"

His tone is playful, coaxing. He has a feeling this is a story he will like. A hand lifts to stroke along Liechtenstein's fine blond hair as he waits.

Forgive the looooong summary, and that's just the first parter. jungen_rhein June 20 2011, 14:55:07 UTC

[[ooc: Oh gawd, this story could turn out to be a really nice AU. LOL]]

Spain's cheerful, playful smile and tone was further unfurling the young Nation; the fingers stroking his hair was lulling and coaxing Liechtenstein even more to reveal the story that had held his interest for so long.

"There was a Knight, and there was a Boy." He repeated, though this time there was a shift in his tone, almost storytelling-like, but a condensed version.

"The Knight was a well-known noble in his land, famous for his good looks, and his passionate personalities; setting women's heart a-flutter, and men envied his skills. The Boy was a humble goatherd, poor yet content with his life tending to his goats; he was beloved by all in the village, and he loved them all in return."

Another pause, and an intake of breath while he glanced up to see if Spain was still following him. He was.

"By the fate of the stars above, the Knight stumbled upon the Boy when he saved the young goatherd from the wild mountain wolves. It was... love at first sight." ( ... )

It would be a nice AU XD diosorogloria June 20 2011, 21:24:54 UTC
It's a fine enough story. The Spanish knight is a hero, a man among men it seems. And he seems to care deeply for the boy. Unfortunately, Liechtenstein hasn't told him a lot about him.

"What is the boy like?" He asks as he smiles into Liechtenstein's eyes, eyes soft and fond. Fingertips lightly smooth through blond hair and down along the line of his throat. "Why did the Knight fall for him?"

Love in real life rarely has concrete reason for happening, but this love is fiction. Spain likes to hear these reasons.

Hahaha~ Wouldn't it? DX It'll be epic and awesome~ jungen_rhein June 20 2011, 23:41:39 UTC
Liechtenstein smiled back in return, leaning into the ghosting fingertips in his hair and on his throat, his line of thoughts almost distracted by it.

"The Boy... He was young, youthful, with hair the colour of sunlight and eyes that of the pasture. A smile often decorated his sweet lips, a kind temperament and hands always eager to help. It was one of the reasons why the Knight fell for him. In return, the Knight's gentleness, warm gestures and cheerful laugh attracted the Boy, for the Knight was different from the rest of the knights he had came across."

It was also why the young Nation had began to read that title in the first place: the Knight reminded him of Spain, almost as if it was the Spaniard himself.

"Well, from here on is the second half of the first novel..." Once he had Spain's attention, he continued. "The Knight returned to fight for his land, and the Boy to the mountains where he had came from. Not a day passed without either of them missing the other even more, their love growing and expanding with each day. ( ... )
