On the outskirts of the forest, there is the clank of armor as a man is thrown out by an unseen force, tumbling a bit before coming to a stop, his sword landing several feet away. He stumbles up after a few minutes, wandering to where his blade landed to retrieve it, and starts heading away from the forest. His armor is green and grey with yellow ( Read more... )

Amelia was still very much a newbie as far as the whole business with the hotel had been. It had been just over a week since her arrival, and she was still trying to get her bearings. Thankfully she had met several people, friends from home and strangers from other worlds, who had helped her settle in.

With that in mind, she could easily sympathise with other new arrivals. The man she spotted while she was wandering even more so, her eyes widening as she saw the red stains on his clothes. She ran towards him as fast as she could, skidding to a halt and moving beside him to inspect the apparent wounds.

"Are you alright?" she asked in a worried frantic tone.

Aldray tried to push up from his position on the ground, and manages to get to a knee before he has to stop. "...ah... I've had worse..." he answers, though the strain in his voice seems to betray that confidence.

His sword cuts in - "You are a horrible liar, you know that, boy?"

She frowned, deciding it best to take care of things before asking any questions. Amelia had no idea what had happened to him, but it couldn't have been good.

"Hold still, okay?" she instructed, placing her hands over the what could tell were the worst of his injuries. The soft murmur of 'Recovery' formed on her lips as a soft glow shone from her hands and onto his skin, the wounds quickly closing over and healing. She repeated the action until everything looked cleared up, offering soft smile.

"There, that should do it. Do you feel better now?"

The action brought a thankful smile to the man's face, and he stood up once she finished, stretching. "Ah, yes! Much, much better, miss!" The speaking sword is sheathed, and he puts out his hand. "Aldray Hamm, of the wide and fertile Hamm lineage, cleric of the shining Heironeous and hero to those in need!"

The girl blinked a moment, glad that he was up and apparently no worse for wear. Reaching out to shake his hand in return, realization slowly dawned on her as she heard his words. "You're..." she paused as her smile widened, eyes sparkling. "You must be a true Patron of Justice then Mr Aldray!"

Ah, what's this? Someone who wasn't chiding him for his enthusiasm? Someone who seemed to even share it, by that reaction! He grins, patting a fist to his chest. "Yes! I strive to uphold Heironeous' ideals of justice, valor, chivalry, and honor!"

She did indeed share his enthusiasm, practically beaming with excitement. Amelia knew all too well how hard it was to find somewho shared her ideals, so was more than happy to display her support with as much enegy as possible.

"That is truly a wonderful cause Mr Aldray!" she smiled, finding herself posing with her fist clenched. "I too try to uphold such values at home!"

From the scabbard on Aldray's hip, the sword speaks again, though in a long-suffering tone. "Gods spare me, he actually found someone who speaks his language..."

However, the cleric is too caught up in his conversation to notice or care. "Excellent, Miss...ah...miss..." A pause. "I don't think you told me your name, miss."

The girl was also unaware of the remark, instead smiling brightly up at the man, before striking another pose in answer to his question.

"Princess Amelia Wil Tesla Seyruun, pleased to meet you Mr ALdray. It's a honour meeting a fellow Warrior of Justice!" she grinned, offering a hand to shake.
