This was a nice bed...this was a really nice bed...

Mumbling sleepily to herself, Lina tossed and turned on the bed, feeling the sheets tangling under her body. It was the most comfortable bed she had ever slept in, and that was a fact.

Relaxed and comfortable as she was, it would be a while before Lina awoke...and what she saw when she did would be ( Read more... )

As she shook off the last remains of sleep, sitting up in bed and thankful she was still in the same room from last night, Amelia rolled off the mattress, stretching before getting up. While thinking on what she would spend the day doing, her hand went to fumble on the nightstand to pick up her bracelets, but instead felt her fingers tracing something...leather ( ... )

((ooc: Oh, that was you. *squee* Castmates! And you look like a pretty good Amelia.

Well, as you can see, I'm not the quickest fish in the barrel. Working on it, though T_T.))

Lina was in the midst of berating yet another hotel staff member...who was only making matters worse by ignoring her...when she felt a sharp tug on her leash. She whirled around, ready to let loose on whoever had interrupted her - the presence of the leash still not registering in the slightest - when she spotted Amelia a short distance away, just on the other side of the lobby.

A look of utter shock passed over the sorceress' face, to be replaced by a broad grin. She raced over to Amelia and, without further warning, threw her arms around the girl.

"Ameliaaaaaa! You came to save me!"

The princess was still twirling the leash in between her fingers as walked down into the lobby, attempting to figure out how she was going to act on finding her new pet. This was going to be awkward to say the least, especially since Amelia was the natural type to boss people around. THat suited someone else she knew rather well though ( ... )

Unfortunately for Amelia, even Lina couldn't fail to hear the soft "clink" of the leash linking itself to the collar, or feel the soft tug on the collar that followed. Still with an arm around Amelia, she blinked in honest puzzlement, reaching up a hand between them until that hand found the length of leather.

Almost of its own accord, that hand moved along the leash until...

"Amelia...?"

Her voice held the sweet quality Amelia might recognize as that of impending violence.

"Why am I wearing a collar? Come to think of it, why am I wearing an ugly collar?!" She gave the red leather, rhinestone collar several sharp tugs of her own, trying to break it. "Grr! Get off, you stupid thing!"

She pulled slightly away to attack the collar with more vigor, and that was when she felt the tug of the leash again. Growling, her eyes ticked down to it, and that was when she saw that it was in Amelia's hands.

"...what the hell?!"

Needless to say, the princess tensed, her body becoming stiff with fear. Admittedly she knew spells, even the most powerful ones, could not do any damage in the hotel or aid them in escape. However, if her friend chose to aim her aggreesion at her, well, she wasn't exactly fire, or more accurately Dragon Slave-proof.

Watching Lina tug at the collar, she sighed heavily. This was going to be rather hard to explain with the other girl so aggravated. Well, it couldn't get any worse...

...oh wait, Lina had noticed her holding the leash. Apparently it could get worse.

"Miss Lina, please, calm down okay?" she insisted, even though she realized it was like asking a ferocious beast to roll over and play dead. "I know how this looks, but I promise there's a good explanation for it. If you just relax, I can explain all this, honest!" she babbled in her defence, knowing this was all that stood between her and possible injury.

"How can there be a good explanation for this, Amelia?! You put me on a leash! I have never been so humiliated! Not even with the unicorn horn, so unless you have another one laying around..."

As she spoke, Lina was slowly backing Amelia against the wall, puffed up like an angry cat, the light of murder in her eyes. She didn't understand why no one in the lobby was intervening to stop her, but she wasn't complaining. Lina didn't want to hurt Amelia, but the indignity this situation suddenly possessed wasn't easy to ignore.

Sorry for the delay, had to rush out. healsforjustice July 13 2011, 16:22:59 UTC
"I didn't do anything, this is the hotel's fault Miss Lina, you have to believe me!" the younger girl insisted, her back soon making contact with the wall. Naturally no one stopped this, mostly because she expected the staff were expecting them to start making out.

"Look, I know this is going to sound strange, even though it's fairly common around here, but...well, maybe you should read this." she stuttered, holding out the sheet of paper that the hotel left her as if it was a shield against her friend's angry gaze.

Somehow Amelia knew this was not going to be the end of it, especially with Lina's temper, but actually calling one of her closest friends her pet out loud would just add to the awkwardness of the whole scenario. Hopefully the sorceress would take her aggravations out on the note instead of her.

Lina glowered fiercely at Amelia for several seconds before snatching the note out of her hands and turning her back to Amelia as much as the leash allowed to read it.

Even confronted with the back of Lina's head, Amelia would probably still be able to track Lina's emotional state as she scanned the note...and then scanned it again...and then scanned it a third time. By then, her hands were shaking as they gripped the paper before the sorceress recovered herself enough to tear the paper to shreds and tear the shreds into confetti, growling like a rabid dog and panting for breath when she was done.

Slowly, she turned to face Amelia again, a sickly sweet smile on her face.

"So I'm your pet now, Amelia? Is that really how it's going to be?"

Breathing a sigh of relief, the girl watched as the letter was torn into hundreds of pieces. It seemed like the rage had cleared from Lina's system, but then...she smiled.

Seeing that little grin on her features, Amelia felt herself break into a cold sweat. Somehow, this was much more terrifying that seeing Lina angry. At least then she knew what she was dealing with. Right now the healer didn't know how close she was to stepping on a landmine.

"W-Well, technically yes, but I promise I won't boss you around or make you do anything Miss Lina, honest. I wouldn't take advantage of the fact you have to do what I say." she held his hands up in defence, the leash still in her grasp and shaking her head. "Actually, you're quite lucky the hotel gave you to me. Some of the people here tend to abuse these sort of events."

"...I have to do what you say?! What do you mean I have to do what you say?!" And right back to anger - flailing, raging, loud anger. "I am not your pet, damn it!" And back to tugging futilely on the collar. "How the hell do I get this stupid thing off?! Help me!"

All the tugging in the world proved futile in breaking the collar, and the effort left Lina panting for breath again, shoulders slumped in defeat. She looked slowly sideways at Amelia, eyes still promising murder, but body making no move to do so.

"...please?"

The princess drew back at bit, a small squeak of fear escaping her. Okay, she probably could have phrased that a little better. She initial reaction was to back away further, but that would only delay the inevitable. Besides, even with her friend scaring her at that moment, Amelia couldn't just leave her friend to the whim's of the hotel.

"I know you're not, this is just the way these things work here. You'll be forced to even if you don't want to, that's why they put the collar on." she explained, watching her struggle and looking very regretful that she couldn't do anything to assist.

"I want to Miss Lina, believe me I would, but it probably won't come off until the time given in the note is over."

Growling in frustration, Lina put her head in her hands and tried to breath normally.

"So what time is that?"

Nevermind the fact that Lina had just shredded the note that had told Amelia what was going on, and the note informing Lina of the same had been abandoned back in her room.

"...and what are you going to make me do?"

((ooc: If you're okay with that idea, I would like to try for some smut.))

"Well, usually these events end after twenty four hours, so it'll probably stay on for the rest of the day." the princess explained, thankfully remembered the instructions clearly. The repeated readings had helped with that, and it wasn't as if she could easily forget the details of what having a pet for the day entailed even if she wanted to ( ... )

Lina forced herself to smile a less vicious smile, patting Amelia on the shoulder. "Yeah, of course you can! You're smart, of course you've got this place all figured out!" She laughed a laugh meant to hide her nervousness.

"S-Seriously, Amelia, this has been one of the weirdest days of my life, even weirder than the time with the pig, so...why don't we feed me and go somewhere where everyone will stop staring at us and you can talk about what the hell is going on here?"

She takes Amelia's hand and begins to drag her away from the wall, ignoring the scattered looks of disappointment that a makeout session did not take place. The sorceress had only gone a few steps before she stopped and looked back hopefully at the princess.

"You're...really not going to boss me around, Amelia?"

As she watched Lina, the younger girl tried not to laugh nervously at the whole situation. She had to do her best after all, to be calm and mature so as to not completely alienate her friend with what she was going to have to explain. Oh dear, this was going to be tricky, that was for sure ( ... )

As probably expected, Lina quickly relaxed as soon as food was placed in front of her. Indeed, she fell upon the food with her usual gusto - it was probably a good thing Amelia would be busy explaining, because reaching for the tray would mean risking a lost finger or five. A comfortable bed to eat on and good food to eat on the comfortable bed...with Amelia being so not-bossy about holding her leash, she was starting to adapt to the strangeness of the situation, despite her dislike of the collar.

It was several seconds of busy chewing before she swallowed and looked back up at Amelia curiously.

"'S a...'Love Hotel', right?"
