The concert had been a blasting success, the fans were delirious and satisfied, if not wanting more. Although most of their focus were usually on the lead singer, and perhaps the other guitarist, rather than on him, the bassist. But Nikita didn't mind not being in the spotlight, preferring to contribute in other ways possible, and leave it all to ( Read more... )

"Niki, hey. What're you doing back here? Everyone was looking for you!"

And standing there behind him with her usual teasing grin is none other than the band's lead singer herself, Julia. Or Julchen, as the fans fondly call her. She looks as tired as he does, but probably just as happy. It's clear in the smile clear in her violet eyes as she looks up at him and how wide that grin is on her face. Her long, silver hair is a bit of mess from her tossing it about onstage and from the quick towel wipe she did before meeting the fans backstage. The make up on her face still holds, smoky eyes and pink lips. And she's still wearing that corset from onstage. That one that appeared from under her loose overshirt for their last number, Wenn ich ein Junge wär. She's covered up with one of her favorite leather jackets but it's still there, hugging her slender but slightly curvy frame ( ... )

What did it look like he was doing? Packing their musical instruments, of course. Well, not all of it. He knew that their guitarists were rather reluctant to have their items handled by him, he would have felt the same too, especially since he treated his bass guitar like his most important thing ever.

"And what are you doing here?" He asked her in return, actually surprised to see Julia at the backstage instead of greeting the mob of fans. Nikita suspected she did, then sneaked away right under their manager's nose. Yet it made him smile on the inside at the sight of her, slightly tousled but still looking just as awesome, as she preferred to describe herself.

He didn't really understand the affections she sometimes threw at him, all the more when he was more of an outsider rather than a true member of their band. But he stayed on, even after so long, mostly because it was for her sake. It was hard not to be drawn to that fiery red eyes and her long silver locks.

"Your fans are still waiting." Nikita could hear the chants of ( ... )

She actually counts herself lucky that Nikita actually talks to her now. In the beginning, it had taken a lot of cajoling, even some threatening for him to do anything. Nikita is a trooper when it comes to music; he gives it his all and at times it becomes bad for him. He forgets to sleep or eat when he's in one of his moods and he would have withered away if she doesn't step in and nag him (or rather sit on him) until he complies. At first, it's more because they need their new-found bassist to be healthy, but soon enough, it's just because she cares for him. He's part of their little rowdy family now, whether he likes it or not, and so she does her best to look in on him when she can ( ... )

The first few weeks when he joined them could be described as hellish, at least partly figuratively and literally. Not a day went by without some form of death threats being flung around and permeating the air, though that was mostly between him, Julia, and the other guitarist. It confused him as to why she was so insistent on him being part of the band when he was clearly not needed. Heck, there were other better bassist than him. However, it was also because of her that they all drew closer together, although occasionally there were a few bumps around. It was still a good progress.

Now was one of the progress that needed to be processed, which was for him to be more social not just amongst his band mates, but also to the fans. Julia had often reminded him that they were who they were today only because of their fans. Never forget them was the first thing she said to him ( ... )

"Awesome!" is Julia's immediate reply, but she's not quite done with celebrating.

The next thing they both know, she has her arms around his shoulders in a hug, her smaller frame pressed against his taller one. When she realizes what she's done, violet eyes widen as she absorbs what just happened. Now, it's not as if she's never been close to him. She's sat on him before (due to him not eating), held his hand, hugged his arm, pinched his cheek, and flirted with him onstage for the fans. But she's never quite actually hugged him and... She has to wonder now why she hasn't before. He smells and feels good against her, slender, but manly. And that pretty much makes red mar her cheeks and quickly pull away.

When she's gotten enough distance between them and she's composed herself somewhat, she looks at him a little and apologizes, still a bit uncomfortably, "Sorry..."

Nikita may let her touch him in other ways, but perhaps a hug is just far too close for his comfort. At least that's what she thinks.

Nikita instantly tensed at the sudden feel of limbs around his body, trapping his arms by his sides, and the sensation of a soft and pliant body pressed up against him. All he could do was blinked owlishly down at the top of her head with a confused look in his pale blue eyes. Julia had been one-sidedly intimate with him before, the shoulder pats, arm slinging, rare peck on the cheeks and all that.

But this? His whole senses were assaulted by her womanly scent, highly aware of her ample bosom (not that he hadn't been staring at them tonight, what with her wearing the corset and all) and... There was a sort of system overload in his mind now.

It was over just as quickly, the warm body suddenly gone, and it nearly pulled a frustrated and disappointed look from him. Nikita was too stun to even speak, merely nod his head on reflex even as he noted the flush on her cheeks. Best not to think too much about it. He was familiar with the intimate affections amongst Julia and the other band members, just not with him. So this was more of a ( ... )

If there's anything one can particularly appreciate about Nikita, it's his tendency to stay focused. Despite all odds, he can stay focused, so long as he chooses to and right now, Julia is very thankful for that because if he hadn't spoken, she really has no idea how long she will stand there and just not look at him.

"Right." She says after a moment and taking a deep breath, still trying to shake away the blush that pinks her cheeks. "Right." She says again just to remind herself. "Come on."

She starts walking and on impulse, takes his hand to pull him along. It surprises her how it's another gesture that seems to come naturally for her despite her current embarrassment at having hugged him. She reasons with herself that it's because before Nikita will surely try to escape. It's an impulse, really. And they should get going; the fans are waiting.

With her hand gently but firmly gripping his, she leads him to the meet-and-greet room.

At this point, Nikita wasn't even sure he should follow Julia back to meet the fans, his mind still in a daze and was quite certain to cause unnecessary blunders from his lack of focus.

Lack of focus this one time, to say the least.

Yet he let her lead him back, unable to wriggle away and escape like he usually did, now that she had a good grip on his hand. He had shook her hand before, held it for a brief moment, but not as long as this. It made him all the more conscious of how her palm melded in his, their fingers entwined at certain places, looking every bit like a couple.

It was a surprise that he didn't immediately pull his hand away, even when they finally stepped into the meet-and-greet room, cameras flashing away and fans screaming at their appearance. Their manager wasn't too pleased, but quickly ushered them to their seats.

And they were still holding hands.

Of course, the fans noticed. Cue the deafening screams.

Julia is no stranger to the fans screaming. They always do it and she usually responds with a grin, a wave and something awesome. But something seems to be different now and she realizes that it's because she's still holding hands with Nikita. That duet has really fired them up and seems to have confirmed something in the eyes of their fans. It's not unusual for Julia to flirt and drape herself over her band mates during performances and since Nikita has joined the band, the fans have pretty much been 'shipping them. "It's because they're pretty together~" is the usual reason.

When she realizes how their hands are still clasped together, she looks to him quickly, the look in her eyes questioning, a touch apologetic. She knows he's never been quite comfortable under the limelight and now she's caused this. It's not as if they're actually dating or anything so it should be easy enough to clear things up. She smiles at him reassuringly ("Leave it to me.") and starts letting go of his hand.

Their onstage flirtations were mainly to add fuel to the flaming fires that only grew even more with the fans, stoking and riling them up. Julia had only did so on a few occasions with him, though that one song seemed to have unwittingly sealed the deal for them.

Nikita turned toward her can caught her gaze, trying not to flush and look flustered by the whole scenario. He gave a sort of silent nod with his eyes and released his grip just as she did so with his, slowly pulling his hand back to join its twin as he folded his hands together.

He could hear the disappointed sighs of the fans, some seemed pleased that they weren't exactly an item, or so they want to think since they wanted either him or Julia as their own. Anyhow, their manager made a throat clearing sound to get the fans and media to settle down. He gave one last glance toward Julia before returning his focus back on the fans.

The moment Nikita releases her hand, Julia becomes Julchen, the swaggering, mischievous front woman. The grin and wink she flashes the fans are playful and infectious, making the fans scream and squeal again. There's always been something about Julchen that draws the crowd, whether it's her attention-grabbing appearance or her accessibility to fans that do it, it's never quite clear but no one hardly cares. She's Julchen and she's awesome ( ... )

All Nikita did instead was to sit silently beside her as he too greeted the fans, though in a more quiet manner, signing autographs and nodding once or twice to their questions, and shaking his head at a few requests. Nope, no hugging, thank you very much. He was glad most fans knew about his stance at meet-and-greets, and kept themselves in check.

He glanced over at Julia a few times when she answered the many questions thrown at her, especially when they asked about him and her being an item. His other band members were doing a much better job than him, though that was also perhaps what some of his fans loved about him.

The quiet, silent, brooding and stoic bassist, with the hidden voice that oozes appeal and stroke a chord with the fans, ever eager to catch sight of his rare smiles, and to hear more of his songs. It took quite a while, but pretty soon the limit was up, and soon it was time for the press and media while the fans were shuffled to the back areas.

The meeting with the fans is fun but a bit exhausting. Sometimes after a show, she just wants nothing more but to go up to her hotel room, take a long hot shower and snuggle into an old tshirt to sleep. But of course they have to do these things and Julchen doesn't usually mind. Maybe tonight is just a special case.

She takes a moment to take a drink from the water bottle they left for her in her place then glances to Nikita beside him. He looks cool and collected as always. Leaning towards him a bit, she asks lowly, "You holding up?"

Nikita knew that it was most taxing for Julia when it came to the fans, but knew that it was all in the package of being a rather well-known band. Yet it still gave them a sense of satisfaction; he wasn't as tired as her, but he could see it in her eyes, even though she kept it up with her smug grin.

He sighed and took in a deep breath as he leaned back on his seat, glancing over at her when she leaned close to him, nodding at her question. That small gesture, though, was immediately noticed by a few fans, who were whipped into a frenzy.

That made him flush and look back straight ahead, gaze lowered down at the table even as their manager tried to silence the screams. On both their sides, their other two band mates were giving them wry grins, clearly not helping with the situation.

The squeals and screams make her look to the direction of the frenzied fans. She gives them a bit of an amused but incredulous look. "What?! I can't just talk to him?!"

If anything, her question and reaction just seems to spur the fans on. It started at the front, growing in volume and boisterousness until practically everyone is chanting "NILCHEN! NILCHEN! NILCHEN!" An absurd combination of their names. That will probably make the rounds of the fan communities in a few minutes.

Julia sighs and sinks back into her seat, hiding a bit of her amused grin and pink cheeks behind one hand as she gives her unhelpful bandmates a look. She punches the closest one to her ("Tonio, you dick...") and again, addresses the fans,

"YOU'RE ALL TERRIBLE!"

And she just sort of glances to Nikita by the corner of her eye to see for his reaction.
