It seemed that once more, Amelia's better judgement had taken a backseat to her urge to assist people. Just her luck really, that she happened to witness someone being harassed as she passed the restaurant, apparently unable to pay their bill and looking rather terrified of what the staff might do to even things out. Unable to keep herself out of

"Well, fancy meeting you again." she greeted the woman, thinking nothing of Black Lady showing up so unexpectantly. Amelia simply took out her pad and pen from her apron pocket, her usual friendly demeanour in place. "And how can I help you today? Do you want to order?"

Raising her head slowly she offered a smile and blinked quite intentionally a few times. "Oh, it's good to see you again! Did they make you keep working here? If I'd known... this won't do at all," she said, faux fretting over the fact she'd made the poor girl work off her debt. Suckers were born every second, but she felt something odd from this one. "I insist you join me. Can you do that..." Jeez, what was her name? Convenient, a name tag! "Amelia?"

"Ah, no, nothing like that. I've stayed on to help out, and build up my funds again." she explained, hoping she wasn't causing the other female concern. The invitation caused even more confusion, though she supposed if Black Lady felt bad about what happened, it was to be expected. She wasn't looking for repayment, but actually getting to know the woman before her wasn't a bad idea. "And well, I do have work to finish. Why don't you order something to drink, I'll finish up and join you shortly, how does that sound?" she offered.

"I see, so you liked it and stayed," she replied, nodding in understanding. Now she could let the expression drop, slowly of course. Some company would be a nice distraction, because when left to her own devices things tended to go awry. Either she'd become mopey and lash out at someone, or stir up mischief for anyone who passed by. "In that case I'll take a milkshake. And some cookies." Now she was smiling, taking the chance to study the girl and her waitress attire.

She quickly placed the order, taking the time in between to clock out for the day, letting her shift runner know she was done, receiving her paycheck at the same time. Of course she didn't look at it yet, instead taking the food and drinks and heading back to the table.
"Here we are." she smiled, placing the plate of cookies and glasses down before taking a seat herself. "You know, I never did catch your name the last time we met Miss..."

"Nice to meet you properly at last then Miss Himeko." she greeted the other girl, straightening out her skirt before sipping her own drink, attention still on the person sitting across from her. "I'm glad to see you're fairing better than the last time we met."

"Just Himeko," she corrected, polite but decisive. "I'm in a much better mood today. No one's annoyed me yet, and I thought you were still working here to pay off my bill. I guess I felt bad." She waved her hand dismissively, and took a cookie. "So what was all that talk before about a kingdom and getting money?"
Reply
"Well you didn't need to, I was happy to help." Amelia smiled, about to talk another sip of her drink, before her companion's words stopped her. After a moment of surprise, she laughed softly, a little nervous, having not realized Himeko overheard her. "Oh that. Well, I was just musing over how at home it was a lot easier to settle bills when this happens to me, but it's nothing to worry about."

"Hmm." She wasn't convinced. Black Lady rested both elbows on the table and placed her chin upon her hands. She studied Amelia carefully, looking at her face, her eyes, her hair, and a little bit below the neck. "Tell me about your home, then. I'd like to know more about it."

"Well, it's a land with a strong foundation in different sorts of magic, and a lot of people practise it in some form. I grew up in a the White Magic capital, so I'm pretty well versed there, but I've learns a little black magic as well as some shamanic and astral spells." she explained, smiling still despite slight nervousness.
