A 5-Star Restaurant | Waitressing | {Mild Aphro}

Aug 25, 2011 01:09

It seemed that once more, Amelia's better judgement had taken a backseat to her urge to assist people. Just her luck really, that she happened to witness someone being harassed as she passed the restaurant, apparently unable to pay their bill and looking rather terrified of what the staff might do to even things out. Unable to keep herself out of ( Read more... )

Tidus hadn’t expected to stumble across this place as he wandered through the town. Yeah, he knew that there would be restaurants, but not one where the aroma of food caught his attention like this one did. It didn’t help that he was already pretty hungry after building up such a big appetite walking around like he did. He stood outside of the place for a few moments, wondering if he should just pass it over or go inside. After a moment or two, he came to a decision ( ... )

“Nope. Not at all..you know, it might be because of me hitting my head a while after that? Why don’t you remind me of just what they were?” The teasing and the bit of flirtyness was indeed fun. The fact that he was able to do it with her too just showed home relaxed he was around her.

He shook his head a little bit. “They were good but..I won’t lie, you sort of spoiled me. You might not be a professional, but do you know how to move your body.” And what they did after the dance might have just endeared him to her even more.

“You were far better at that job than you think, Amelia.”

Her eyes widened a moment, face heating up further while trying to suppress a giggle. "Not while my co-workers are in earshot thank you." she shook her head, though not really upset, but still blushing. She was giving the other waiting staff enough rumour fuel as it was.

Mind you, she was likely to give herself away due to her red face, but really, she couldn't do much else on hearing his compliments. "As flattering as that is, I don't think I'll be going back to it." she smiled. Still, that might have been for the best, she wasn't keen on doing what she did for Tidus to just anyone, and she guessed that he was probably happy knowing he was the only one to have seen that side of her.

“You don’t want them gossiping about you?” He teased once more as that smile turned into a bit of a grin. Even after the things they did that night, she could still get them embarrassed. That fact amused Tidus a lot.

“I don’t think you should either, if you aren’t comfortable with it. But..sometime, maybe you could do it just for me again?” He was pretty glad to know that she hadn’t done it for anyone other than him. He slipped his foot out of his shoe and reached over to her with it and gently rubbed it against hers.

“If you still feel comfortable doing that for me, that is.” He ate a little bit more of his food.

"I get the feeling they already are, I just don't want to make them curious enough to start asking awkward questions." she explained, fingers running through her hair. Yes, she could still get quite flustered despite how much time had passed, so she supposed it was something she'd have to live with.

Blushing all the more at the touch under the table, she glanced to the side, eyes flickering back to him. "Maybe." was all he got as an answer, but the smile told a different story. Teasing or no, Amelia didn't string people along, and always made good on her word.

“Well I’m sorry if I’m causing any unneeded trouble for you.” That was only partly true. He wasn’t sorry about getting to spend this time with her. He turned his attention down to his plate and took another bite of food, nearly done with it. He continued to rub his foot against her leg.

“Only maybe? I’d be sad if I never got to see you dance again..the way you moved yourself..so graceful, so beautiful..” He glanced back up to her as he spoke. “You enjoyed doing it for me, didn’t you?”

"It's okay, after all there's nothing wrong with talking to someone I know, they can't protest that." she replied, settling back in the chair, shivering a little as he continued to touch her. She was suddenly very glad the tablecloth hid the little display from view.

"I answered that at the time." she told him. Admittedly, it hadn't been direct, but Amelia was quite sure he had known. "Or did you forget about that too when you hit your head?" she continued to tease.

“Are you sure?” He said before taking another bite of his food. He felt her shiver as his foot ran against her leg. That outfit that she had on exposed quite a bit of those stout, slender limbs. He ran his foot up a bit further. He might not have been this bold if it wasn’t for the table cloth.

“That hit to the head did do quite a bit of damage. That or maybe I just like hearing you say it again? To know that you just weren’t speaking in the moment.” Their time together had been very heated and passionate after all.

"I'm sure." she nodded, trying hard not to squrim in her seat as she felt her skin tingling the further up his foot went. If this kept up she'd have to bite her lip to prevent any noise escaping her mouth.

Glancing back at him, she offered a small, somewhat mischievious, but sincere smile. "Maybe when you're finished eating and I've ended my shift, if you have time." she offered. There was naturally going to be implications there, but Amelia was happy to just spend time with him. Whatever was supposed to happen would happen, but she wasn't going to ignore the chance to talk to someone she liked just for the worry of what the hotel might do to them.

He continued to move his foot up until it was just at the hem of her skirt. Then he slid the skirt back a bit so he could lightly rub his foot against her thigh, still watching her reaction as he did so.

“We’ll I’m almost finished here, how much longer until your shift ends?” He was fine with hanging out until she got off. Spending more time with her seemed like it could be really fun. Even if things didn’t continue to progress in the direction that it was being pushed, he’d still enjoy himself around her. He knew the hotel would always do things to them, but the things were always more bearable when a friend like her could go through it with him.

The hands in her lap gripped the material of her skirt, her form shuddering more as her leg twitched in response to the touch. Amelia felt a little relieved he was nearly done eating, if only for the fact that soon she could get up and prevent really embarrassing herself.

"I'm just about set to go anytime, I just need to let the manager know I'm leaving." she answered, still shifting a bit in her seat. That was something else to be grateful for; at least if things were going to go a particular route, they could slip away before things got a little too heated while they were still in public.

He probably wasn’t making things any easier on her by continuing to rub his foot against her. A few more bites of food and he was finally finished with his meal. Then reluctantly, he pulled his foot away from her and cleared his throat a little. “Well..go get ready to go.” He asked as he slid the plate away from him. The both of them leaving together would probably just arouse more rumors and gossip from her coworkers, but he had a vague feeling that at this point, she wouldn’t care about that at all.

Nodding, the girl stood up, feeling a bit relieved that they hadn't gotten too carried away. "I'll be back in a minute." she replied, once again giving Tidus something to watch as she retreated to the back of the restaurant.

As she grabbed her coat and clocked out, squaring things up the manager, she could hear the whispers from the other females, but Amelia simply sighed, rolling her eyes. It wasn't as if anything she said would deter their gossip anyway. Pulling the jacket on, she went out to the front door to wait for Tidus to settle his bill. Normally she would have changed before leaving for the day, but two things stopped her. One: she didn't want to keep him waiting. And two: she guessed that he would be a little disappointed if she removed the uniform.

He didn’t realize that the fact that he liked seeing her in uniforms was so obvious. He stood up and reached to his back pocket to grab his wallet. He froze for a second and checked his other pocket. Then he checked his side pockets only to find that his wallet was completely missing. He looked over to Amelia and laughed just a little bit.

“Uh..I can’t seem to find my wallet. I was sure that I grabbed it when I left today.” He wasn’t sure if she could use her influence at this job to get him off of his bill or what..but one thing he knew for sure was that he wouldn’t be able to pay. No matter how small the bill might have been.

Looking over as he checked his pockets, the situation became all too clear. Fortunately Amelia knew Tidus well enough to believe in that he did intend to pay, unlike others who might have been more skeptical. She could see the other staff looking none too pleased, so the princess decided it was better to settle the matter before things turned sour.

Reaching into the pocket of her apron, she pulled out the cash tha amounted to her tips for the day. After counting it out, she handed it over to her colleague. "This should cover the food."

With that done, she waited for Tidus to follow her outside. The only response to the waiter's mumbled words was a light glare and soft sigh; something about how she wasn't going to earn her money back if she kept bailing out people who stiffed their tabs.

He walked over to meet her and he sighed a little bit. “You didn’t have to do that, Amelia.” He’d have stopped her, but she had done it so fast that he really didn’t have the chance to do it. And the Waiter didn’t seem to object to it, even if he mumbled something under his breath.

“But I’m going to pay you back, plus a tip. Alright? And I’m not accept no for an answer.” Tidus didn’t mind having to owe people stuff, but Amelia was different. She was so nice, that he couldn’t just take things like that from her for free. He reached over to her and took her hand.

“But..thank you. Really.” He said as he pulled her hand up to his lips and delivered a gentle kiss onto it. “
