It was all so clear. Despite everything around her being dark, blending into the night, the scene before her was vivid, almost as if surrounded by an unearthly glow to highlight it in the blackness. Yes it was right in front of her, and yet she could do nothing but stare; the scream of panic, a body falling to the floor, the glint of a blade as it ( Read more... )

Loke was walking around the building, finding it rather hard to sleep, seeing he was shocked and surprised that he was not exhausted from being away from the Gate for to long. Here, it was almost like he was a normal human. Though it was night, he still kept his sunglasses on, giving his regular green eyes a blue tint to them. He was obviously looking for his owner, Lucy ( ... )

Loke paid no mind to how little she wore or her being in a robe. That truly didn't matter to him. The best thing was that it did not bother her instead. He walked over to a seat, pulling it to be next to the bed where he proposed her to sit at.

"Don't mind if I do, Amelia."

Once she felt a bit more covered after adjusting her clothes, she moved over, slowly settling down to sit on the bed. Her legs tucked in underneath her, she smoothed out the material of the robe before letting her hands lay in the lap. Now, where to go from here?

"I suppose I should start then, hmm?" she enquired, already know the answer, though a little weary still of simply blurting out what had been keeping her awake.

Loke looked to her, just waiting for her to get her train of thought back as he crossed his arms over the top of the chair as he shook his head when she asked him where to begin. He then said, "Take your time. Try and calm down about it. Anything you want to let out, just do so. I'll listen and not judge in anyway."

He then said, to reassure her, "Promise."

Her eyes flickered over him, her form visibly relaxing at the assurance, tension leaving her a bit as she settled more comfortably on the bed. Still, this wasn't going to be easy regardless.

"Is it...weird to be scared of the memory of something, rather than the actual incident?" she asked, already feeling awkward for bringing up such a question out of nowhere.

Loke smiled a bit when he noticed her shoulders had relaxed and wasn't so tense, and her body wasn't as stiff as before. He didn't want her to feel uncomfortable to letting her feelings out. He lived inside of the Spirit gate and none have access to human world unless summoned. Except Loke, who was the strongest mage to be able to come out of the gate by himself.

He blinked at the question and shook his head as he said, "No. It isn't weird at all. I don't show it as much now, but looking back scared me. Why?"

Chewing on her lower lip, her eyes flickered around a little wearily, before settling back on him. This was something she barely spoke to anyone about, not her friends, hardly ever her father, not wishing to burden them or make them upset. Still, it might do her good, even if it was difficult to do.

"I've been dreaming of something that happened a long time ago. Nothing can be done about it. I've been moving on with my life. But here, I can't, and I feel...like I'm betraying that memory by not being able to do what I should, because I'm stuck in this place." she explained, form shaking a little as she spoke.
