Hey, been a while hasn't it? o/ healsforjustice December 31 2011, 23:01:32 UTC
Amelia had been in the background, unaware exactly what had caused all the commotion during the service, but judging by the vacant look in the bride's eyes, something was amiss. This was not just some random gatecrasher trying to spoil a royal union ( ... )

For all that rambling, it was the truth. She would have busted him out after being told what was going on, prompting or not. Feeling him take her hand, she lifted her head to look back, before her fingers shyly curled around his.

"You didn't." she replied with a shake of her head, her free hand toying with the skirt of her bridesmaid's dress. "I suppose I just thought...you'd need time. And besides, you shouldn't have to settle for second best." she replied, trying to pass it off as a throwaway joke, though the way her voice was wavering, it was likely she might have believed in to an extent.

"I do need time but being alone won't really help me any. It would just make it even worse for me I think. You shouldn't think you're second best either you know. I just didn't meet you first." That could be a way to look at it, as it seems he's taken to comforting her now instead.

Something to laugh about later, perhaps.

Now she could safely say she truly was lost for words. It was hard to not think of the weight behind those words and what could have been, and what might come. How fortunate then that they had just drawn up to the summer house, Amelia getting the carriage door open once they had stopped, checking things with the driver while waiting for Zack follow.

By the time he had gotten out, Amelia would already being opening up the front door of the house, turning back and gesturing him to come along. "Let's find you a room, you must be tired."

Zack nodded in response as he stepped out of the carriage, jogging lightly up to the home and following Amelia inside. "So is this yours?" He asks, tone all sorts of curious.

"It's a family home, so it belongs to all Seyruun royals. But I know no one is visiting here this season, so you'll have time to figure out what to do." she replied, leading him upstairs and down a few lavish corridors, before stopping in front of a pair of double doors.

Pushing them open, she revealed a fairly spacious and furnished room, likely one of the master bedrooms. "You might as well make the most of the comforts available. Do you need anything else?" she asked, calmed now and fairly innocent to anything else he might require.

"Looks pretty good." Zack replies at first, nodding his head approvingly. This was nice, he liked it. Looking over to Amelia though, Zack smiles and adds, "Some company would make it way better though, don't you think?"

Trying fiercely to fight back any oncoming colour to her face, Amelia managed to smile shyly back at the request. "If you like." she nodded, closing the door over before heading back into the room, rather unsure of what to do or expect next. "How do you want to pass the time?"
