How was it that when one strived to do good wherever possible, they almost always ended up in a compromising situation? Yes, the right path was not always the easiest, and she didn't expect a reward for doing good deeds, but was it so much to ask that she didn't

"Hey!"

Normally, Sayaka didn't frequent places like this but she'd been informed that she needed to 'get out more' and enjoy life. Seeing Amelia working here, in that attire was more than enough to convince her to stay.

She didn't think Amelia worked there at all, and it seemed that way with each passing minute. Sayaka hoped that she would get to her table soon, but...it seemed like things were about to implode. She quickly got up, headed over to Amelia and pulled her away protectively.

Amelia had been about to turn on her heel and act of her own accord in regards to whoever those grabby hands were attached to, but instead found herself being yanked in the opposite direction. Stumbling a little as she kept balance in her heels, she looked up, eyes widening in surprise at who she saw.

"Miss Sayaka? What...What are you doing here?" she asked in shock, distracted now from the patron who was complaining about being denied the 'service' he wished.

"...I came to relax and 'get out more.' Why are you here in...this amazing outfit?" Sayaka's eyes trailed up and down for a moment at what Amelia was wearing. "A-and then I realized you were here and wanted you to get to my table before all this went down."

"Eh, well I had to stand in for someone who was injured." she mumbled in reply. Considering what Sayaka knew of her, she could probably guess from that how things came about. Still, it was easier to dwell on that than feel embarrassed about the other girl seeing her dressed like she was.

"I'm sorry, I got...distracted." she forced out the last word, not really wanting to say how close she was to striking the customer.

Sayaka nodded, taking hold of Amelia's hand and pulling her down to the floor before answering.

"It's okay...I get distracted, too..." Her eyes continued to trail u and down Amelia's current attire, though she was giving her a small, reassuring smile.

That action would have got her flustered at the best of times. However, Amelia was even more red in the face considering they were still out in the middle of the bar, and that she really was still working.

"Well, even so I have to get back." she replied, clearly apologetic as she moved to stand up and head back to pick up the next round of drink orders. "You don't have to wait, it might take a while for me to finish up."

"And, what do I do in the meantime~?" Sayaka asked, partially joking in her response but also somewhat serious as she feigned a pout while stroking Amelia's cheek with an outstretched hand.

"Order another drink, finish the one I had already and get a refill, go back home and wait for you to show up...?"

"I don't think this is best place to hang around." she argued, shuddering a bit at the recollection of a clammy hand on her rear. Heaven forbid Sayaka dealing with that, or possibly react if anyone else made a grab for her.

"I'll be done soon, so just wait by the door okay?" she asked, knowing she would have to get back to work quickly if she hoped to clock out on time.

Sayaka frowned a bit but nodded, knowing that Amelia was only concerned for her well being and safety. But she was concerned for Amelia's too, and didn't want her to almost react like she had earlier.

"...Alright, but I might pop back in if you aren't done soon."

"Trust me, I won't take longer than I need to." she assured the other girl before scurrying off to get the last round for the tables she needed to bus for the night. Luckily, a somewhat uncharacteristic glare was all it took to dissuade any further attempts from patrons to cop a feel. It made things go a lot smoother, allowing Amelia to bolt for the door right on time, hoping Sayaka would be waiting for her there.

"Any longer, I might've gone back in to look for you~" Sayaka was indeed waiting for Amelia, an excited and relieved look on her face as she watched her exit the building before Amelia would soon find herself enveloped in an embrace.

She started a bit at the surprise embrace, but did relax. Amelia did however wonder how long Sayaka was planning to cling to her for.

"Can you at least let go until we get back to somewhere more private?" she sighed, though smiling a bit too. It just made it a bit tricky to walk back with the other girl clinging to her like that.

Sayaka's smile didn't fade, though she did let go just enough for Amelia to be able to move. Her hand ran up and down her arm for a while before intertwining their hands together.

"That more to your liking?" she leaned over to gently kiss Amelia's cheek, a bit of a preview for what would come when they found a place just for themselves.

Rolling her eyes, Amelia didn't resist the hand holding, chuckling softly at the kiss to her cheek. "It is, until we're somewhere more private. Though we might be in for quite a walk."

After all, the bar was quite a way out from most places, and she knew Sayaka wasn't always the most patient person, particularly when it came to sharing time with the princess.

"As long as we're together...we could walk on the moon and it wouldn't feel like it was long to me~" Sayaka admitted, rubbing the back of Amelia's hand with her thumb.

She would do her best to control her patience, especially since she knew Amelia didn't prefer to share intimate moments out in public.

Well, it was hard not to be endeared by those words, Amelia squeezing the hand in hers to show her appreciation. "Well, I won't keep you waiting too long anyway."

By luck, there were some hotels in the area, so Amelia just picked the one that looked as unseedy as possible, tugging Sayaka inside. Luckily, it didn't take long to get a vacant room and head upstairs.
