Hotel Facilities

These are the facilities available in the airport hotel.

Ground Floor

Pool

There is an indoor swimming pool dominating the hotel's ground floor. This pool is Olympic-sized, approximately 50m long with 8 lanes, starting blocks, and a diving board.

Changing Rooms

Male and female changing rooms are available, with showers and toilets in both.

Spa

There is a large spa located near the pool. It seats approximately six people. The jets/heating are fully adjustable.

Sauna

An enclosed sauna room is located next to the changing room. It can hold approximately eight people and has an adjustable thermostat.

Gym

The first floor also has a sizeable, enclosed gym area on the other side of the changing room. Facilities include:
  • Treadmills
  • Stairmasters
  • Punching bags
  • Rowing machines
  • Exercise bikes
  • Various weight training equipment
  • A very tall rock climbing wall, complete with harnesses and safety equipment.
  • A storeroom containing miscellaneous small exercise equipment (1kg - 5kg arm weights, exercise balls, etc.)

The first floor of the hotel is accessed via elevators and a set of stairs from the lobby. It is not accessible through the first floor of the airport.

Second Floor

Lobby

The lobby of the airport hotel is situated on the second floor, accessed by a covered walkway. There are non-functional elevators located in the lobby, as well as a front desk, chairs, decorations, and a stand of random pamphlets from all over the world.

Keys

There are dozens, maybe even hundreds of keys in a tray on the front desk. These keys all have little name-tags attached to them. Some are blank, and others bear the name of characters currently interred in the airport, as well as a room number.  All keys currently only open rooms on the lobby (second) floor, and the elevators inside the hotel are non-functional.

Each character is assigned his or her own room. There are no designated roommates.

Rooms

Each room contains:
  • A double bed
  • A desk with two chairs
  • An on-suite bathroom with complimentary towels, bathrobe, shampoos, soaps, etc.
  • A minibar stocked with snacks and drinks
  • An alarm clock
  • A non-functional telephone
  • Set of drawers
  • A television set
Laundry room

There is also a laundry room on this floor of the hotel. There are approximately 10 washing machines, lined up in rows, as well as 10 dryers and a vending machine full of washing powder that can be broken into the same as any vending machine. Coins are not required to operate the washers and dryers, however.

Ballroom

This room can also be used as a 'function' room. It is a large room with an intricately-patterned marble floor and a hanging electric chandelier. As of yet, there is no musical accompaniment in the ballroom.

Lounge room

A room with a number of plush chairs, sofas, and tables laden with magazines of all different sorts from different years and countries. There is also a wide-screen TV here, but it displays nothing except the date and time, as per all the other TVs in the airport.

Third Floor

Rooms

The third floor has rooms numbering from 51 to 100, containing all the same items and facilities as the rooms on the second bloor.

Hotel Kitchen

The hotel kitchen is equipped with all the facilities and more that were previously available in the airport restaurant, including:

  • Two freezers stocked full of preserved and cold foods
  • A sizeable larder
  • Cupboards full of condiments
  • Refridgerators
  • A drinks bar
  • Electric cooktops and stoves that do not run on gas - and therefore cannot be blown up.
Anyone can access the third floor as well as the kitchen, and there is more than enough food stored there to keep the airport's residents stocked for some time to come.
