Picnic
Simon was standing at the counter in the infirmary, checking his list of needed supplies, when strong arms encircled him from behind and warm lips nuzzled his neck. Placing his hands on those at his waist, he leaned back into his lover's embrace, tipping his head to give those lips better access, before turning around and wrapping his arms around Mal's neck and capturing his lips for a passionate kiss.
"Hi. I wasn't expecting you back so soon."
"Yeah, well, job went smoother than expected. So now we got all this free time on our hands. Wasn't sure what to do with it 'til we passed this restaurant on the way back."
"Mmm. Yes. Go on."
"Thought maybe you'd like to get off the ship for a while. It's safe enough here. Maybe go on a picnic. So stopped in and had 'em pack us a basket."
"Sounds like fun. Let me just…"
Mal reached out, grabbed the list from the counter and pocketed it.
"No time to wait. Food'll get cold."
"All right," Simon laughed. "Let's go." He grabbed a blanket from the shelf, Mal dimmed the lights, and they headed for the cargo bay and the outdoors.

They'd found a grassy area near enough to Serenity to return quickly if needed, but behind a knoll and out of sight of any prying eyes, and settled down to enjoy their meal of roast duck and rice, accompanied by a delicious Merlot, Argentinian by name if not in fact.
Simon had just finished the last of the duck, and was about to lick the juice from his fingers, when Mal reached over, took his hand and began doing it for him. His tongue swirled a path up Simon's palm then up the index finger. As he slipped the finger into his mouth to suck off the juice, he looked at Simon from under hooded eyes.
Simon's eyes glazed over at the sensations caused by Mal's tongue and mouth. By the time Mal had tenderly cleaned each of his fingers, Simon was moaning quietly and beyond thought.
Suddenly, Mal let go of his hand and turned to the basket. "Almost forgot."
Simon shook his head slightly, trying to focus on what Mal was saying. "Almost forgot what?"
"Dessert."
"Dessert?"
"Yep. Chocolate fudge brownie cheesecake."
"Chocolate fudge…"
Mal handed him a slice of cheesecake and a fork.
"Yep. My favorite. Thought you might like it, too."
"Sure. Okay. Whatever." Simon took a bite of the cheesecake. "Mmm. This is good."
"Yep. Best kind there is."
They finished their dessert in companionable silence. When Simon handed Mal his plate to return it to the basket, Mal leaned in and licked the side of Simon's mouth.
"What was that for?"
"Had some cheesecake there." Mal set the plate next to the basket.
"I did?" Simon sounded thoroughly confused.
"Yep. Matter of fact, have some here, too." Mal leaned in again and licked the other side of Simon's mouth.
"I do?" Simon was beginning to find it hard to breathe.
"Yep." One of Mal's hands was behind Simon's neck, guiding him to the ground. "Here, too." Mal nibbled Simon's jaw while his other hand began working the buttons on Simon's vest.
"No, I don't."
"You sure 'bout that? 'Cause I thought there was some here, too." Mal ran his tongue down Simon's neck as his hands went to work on the buttons of Simon's shirt.
Simon groaned. "I think I would have noticed if I'd missed my mouth that badly."
Mal pulled away, his eyes twinkling down at Simon as he said, "Want me to stop?"
"Hell, no!" Simon reached up and grabbed Mal's face, bringing it down for a searing kiss.

An hour later two thoroughly debauched looking individuals, one carrying a picnic basket and the other carrying a blanket, walked up the ramp onto Serenity. Anyone caring to look would have seen that they also appeared utterly sated and blissfully happy. Fortunately, there was no one around to notice, except Jayne, who immediately headed to his bunk.
