Ray didn't remember actually holding an interview with anyone before, not even for the desk clerks (which maybe they should have, because who did they have on there right now? A psychic and a foul-mouthed... Ray wasn't even sure what he did), but if this guy was going to actually write himself up a resume then he probably wasn't the type to accept an answer of "sure, just show up and we'll put you to work".
They'd been talking about being a little stricter about these kind of things anyway. There wasn't much chance of them checking credentials, but they could at least judge character and get some idea of what the people on the IPD were actually able to do. Officially, and not just in the hands-on, straight-to-work way they used to.
Which was why Ray was sitting in the office waiting to conduct an honest-to-job interview for one of the most thankless jobs on the island. And that was saying a lot.
