Yura looked at her girlfriend, it had been a while since they'd had a night together, and Minah was currently in a mood because Yura was going out hunting the next day and night. It wasn't her fault, she needed to do something, anything to try to stop the invasion of the cold ones. She was paid for this and in the economic climate there was nothing else she could do. Well she was actually trained to be an accountant, but she had been made redundant. "Minah."
"Don't speak to me Ahyoung." Yura winced a little at the use of her full name. "I don't want to talk about it, you're going to get yourself killed and you want to me to sit by and watch it." Minah got up and began dressing, she had a busy day. She was a normal worker, she worked in a boring company as a secretary. "Are you going to be home for dinner or am I going to get a knock on the door?" Minah said as she began doing her hair, she wasn't fully dressed yet, but this was how she always got dressed. The night before Minah and Yura had just gone on a date and then got an early night, so there was no real reason for her to have another shower.
Yura sighed, "Why do you have to be like this? This is my job."
"It's your job?" Minah tried not to shout. "I have been taught how to stake you if you get bitten, I have been taught how to kill a vampire just in case and that is a job?" Minah was furiously buttoning up her blouse. "I might have to kill you. Are you aware of that?" Yura nodded she was about to open her mouth when Minah cut in "and don't you dare have the audacity to say that you are good at your job and you are safe, even the best vampire hunters can be bitten, even the best can be caught slightly off guard."
"Minah, you know I'm not going to get bitten, I am good at what I do. How many times have I gone out on these missions? and how many times have I been bitten?" Yura got up to pull her girlfriend into a tight embrace. "I promise I'll come home tonight, I promise you're going to see me tonight." Yura forced a smile, she knew her chances got smaller each and every time she went on missions, vampires weren't stupid, the more hunts you went on the more they talked, the more they talked the more you became a target and the more you became a target the more likely you were to be bitten. Yura was quite well known she was the top female vampire hunter in the country and that in itself was an insane risk. Everyone was out to get her, she was the most at risk.
"Yura." Minah said softly, pressing a kiss to her girlfriend's cheek. "Just. please. Be safe."

It wasn't quite as Yura planned, she was quick to arrive at the location. It was quite empty, which was unusual it was a known vampire area, but she thought nothing of it, vampires were moving more and more often - as anything would if it was being hunted -. She had to go through just to be careful to make sure they had all moved from the area. Although the sweep was brief it was still a integral part of her job, there was no way she was going to let any vampires get past her, she was going to protect Seoul but most of all she was going to protect Minah.
She was aware of what her job did to her long term girlfriend but at the same time she loved her job, she loved every single aspect. She loved that she got to protect Seoul, she loved that she got to use her athletic ability and most of all she loved that she had a natural ability to do it. The money was also good, well the risk of death was so high that there had to be some form of compensation. Yura hadn't originally signed up for the money, this was something she had wanted to do. She wanted to protect her family, her friends, her city.

It didn't take long for the vampires to track down Yura's residence. They were watching, waiting for the perfect time to strike, to attack. But that was what she expected, what she didn't expect was to get a call from a distraught Minah. "Y-Yura." she gasped. "You need to come home. They're here." Yura could practically see her girlfriend crying. "I'm hiding in the wardrobe but they're going to find me." Minah continued to cry. It wasn't until Yura heard her girlfriend that she mobilized.
She ran through Seoul, not caring who she had to move out of the way. Nothing was going to stop her. She needed to get there. She needed to get to Minah. She ran faster. This was her fault. She knew it. She didn't want to admit it. But she knew it was true. She hit a person and was sent flying back. She got up. She ran again. She ran and ran. She couldn't stop. She ignored people's calls. She ignored stop lights. She just ran. She really didn't care.
When she arrived the house was eerily quiet. She walked in slowly, checking behind every door like she would if it was someone else's house. She was holding her weapon carefully in her hand as she checked. She found Minah, tied to a chair in their spare room. Vampires around her. Yura stood still briefly, they hadn't seen her yet, but she knew that once they did, she'd have a short time to kill the four of them before they over-powered her. She briefly regretted not coming with someone but she knew that even with a re-do she would still do the same thing.
Yura braced herself, before sneaking up and staking the one that was nearest the door, instant kill. However it alerted the other three to her presence. She stepped into the room, almost immediately confronted by two of the other three vampires. One tried to grab her but she managed to evade, stabbing the other in the process, quickly turning around to stab the other one. Easy.
When it came to the final one she knew that it was going to be harder the fight was harder, he was stronger and at times Yura really thought it was going to end in her death but she eventually put the stake through his heart. She ran to her girlfriend and quickly untied her. Minah just burst into tears, crying, holding onto Yura. "he bit me Ahyoung." Minah said quietly. "you're going to have to stake me." her breath wavered.
"No. We'll get you to a hospital. We're going to get you fixed." Yura insisted watching as Minah got up and grabbed a stake from the cupboard of weapons. Yura shook her head as Minah held it out to her.
"If you love me, you'll stake my heart."
