Wopak Happens

Aug 04, 2009 21:26

And that is okay.

We do our best, except sometimes we don't, and even when we do, wopak happens.

And that is okay.

Footnote:  For those of you unfamiliar with the usage, "wopak' is "kapow" spelled backward.  "Kapow" in this usage means general awesomeness and any particular positive in specific.  "Wopak" is, well, the opposite.

My wish for you? That when you get to the other side you are able to look back and say, "Wow, that was a real challenge! Look how we overcame it. We rock!!!"

Being in the middle of challenges sucks ass. But a life without them is damned boring.

Hugs.

I think I have yet to see her come out on the other side not only knowing she rocks, but also looking great.

*hugs*

Do you need one of those "Press X to not die" t-shirts the Zero Punctuation people sell? (Possibly too much of a video game reference...)

I have a lot of "negative" challenge in my life - migraines, finances, etc. But none of these things really effect my core happiness (not that I enjoy them, not that they don't create stress, but they don't "matter" as much as other things). The important things in my life are very good and I have been experiencing a very high level of success on the "positive" challenges in my life - Self Defense Instructor's Training, Networking, Summer Weapons Retreat, Physical Therapy, Building a New Relationship, etc. The standard that has become "normal" in my own head for my state of being is "happy." I needed a perspective check when faced with a situation that makes me quite unhappy. It is okay, even "normal" to experience unhappiness sometimes. Dealing with this will not shatter my joy, nor will it take anything more away from it than I give it permission to. And I will only give it enough to deal and move on, because challenge makes life interesting, but drama makes life suck. :7
