thanks for the personal update. when i first heard about the earthquake and the tsunami this morning my first thoughts were of you, your wife and her family. i'm glad you're all alright.

i just finished reading bill bryson's A Short History About Nearly Everything. his chapters on plate tectonics and earthquakes are downright scary.
