i recently have been put on new medicine lately and one of the major ide effects is constipation...
Sometimes I put off taking my medication until later in the day, sometimes to no avail. Its hard for me to put my medicine off until later in the morning because I start getting sick. I've taken a stool softener but it doesn't soften very much. Ive even chugged milk seeing as i'm lactose intolerant and its usually the most natural way to get me to poopoo.

Any suggestions? Something NATURAL?

yeah, that's a good idea. i bought some tea at the grocery store [traditional medicinals SMOOTH MOVE...you can find it in the tea section at glen's, meijer, and i think wal mart] that is senna based, but ended up never using it because it is contraindicated for preg./breastfeeding.

Otherwise i would recommend just a couple slight changes to diet, like a HIGH fiber breakfast, think super crunchy granola or muesli with honey and making sure you get the appropriate amounts of water...if you take your weight, and divide it in half, that is how many ounces of water you should be getting each day. also, try a spoonful of olive oil with lemon juice in the morning on an empty stomache, helps get everything lubricated.

dandelion root is a laxative, but it is not recommended if taking lithium, anti biotics or i think heart meds....

if you have no luck with any of these things theres always more options...let me know.
