Steamboat Chronicles looks good. Though, since it's put out by Atlus and is RPG-ish, it may not get too much cheaper. As for Kingdom Hearts II... it is destined to become a $20 greatest hits title eventually.

Amano did character designs for the FF games for parts 1-6. I stopped liking the FF series once Noburo Tetsuya got too involved. (He's also the guy behind Kingdom Hearts.) I used to really be into Amano's stuff, and I have two of his artbooks (in Japanese). I like some of the stuff he did for Vampire Hunter D as well.

Last Exile... I never finished watching that. I think I got to around the mid-way point (epis. 15 or 16). Though, it's been released as a thin-pack set, hasn't it ?

Actually, Amano designed characters up through X-2.

I stand corrected. :)

Still, you'd never know it from the US box art, manual art, in-game character icons, etc.

Amano has a very nice and large domestic release "The Complete Prints" http://www.harpercollins.com/global_scripts/product_catalog/book_xml.asp?isbn=0060567635
Two other titles are listed in the Borders system to be US released "Fairies" and "Tale of Genji"

I haven't seen Last Exile in thin pack yet. I think some internet sellers have been selling thoes all region whole series on 3 discs or something like that. I'm always weary of thoes. But I purchased the US discs as they were released so it didn't seem like I was spending much. but it did add up..
I was gifted Murgata's beautiful new import art book "Form + Code"

My son (12) has been trying to finish Kingdom of Hearts 2 for a month now. That's an interesting game. From my point of view, I hope he doesn't beat it any time soon -for it will cost me more money if he does. My perspective on this is buy 'x' person (the kid most often) several different kinds of things at once in an effort to distract him/her for a longer period of time -heh. Good job on 1! KH1 took my kid a month of regular play to finish. My son also plays FF from I-X on PS2 -all good stuff. Me, I still fire up Duke Nuk'm once in a while -so that's where I'm at...

I don't know why I'm telling you this

Cheers!

It took me almost 60hours to beat KOH1. I can't remember when I started it tho.. It's hard to play regularly as an adult.

I found a Duke Nuk'm t-shirt at the thrift store
