the Wall of Sound and TV

I was running into some serious space issues for the cd collection. My dad just built me some new shelves behind my door now they all fit there! I hope it doesn't colapse. But you'll need a stool to reach the top shelves unless your arms are as long as you legs like mine. It looks so nice now, I'm terribly excited. Now since the dvds were there I' ( Read more... )

Sadly, Carnivale was cancelled by HBO after season 2. I just got season 1 on DVD from a friend.

Next, I'm glad you're enjoying Doctor Who. I have seen both seasons of the news series and evry episode from the start of season 7 of the old series (seen a few of the old black and white ones from the first six seasons and then a few of those are missing (and may be gone forever)- 109 missing episdoes at last count). There was a 1996 TV movie which astarred Paul McGann and Eric Roberts. No Roger Daltrey in the TV movie (he did play a bad guy on the Highlander TV series around the same time).

P.S. If you want to buy a copy of Lady Vengeance, I do have a extra copy that has never been watched.

that's totally bogus! I heard rumor, then I went to their site and it said on Fridays at 8 so I thought it was still being aired. They could have totally wrapped up the show on the last episode of season 2 if they reshot it. boo.. Do you know if any of a season 3 was made?

I don't think I'll be buying Lady V anytime soon. But it was great. I just bought Old Boy this week. (I watched it awhile ago)

You should have held off on Oldboy. the three disc Collector's Edition comes to DVD on the 14th.

As for Carnivale, the season finale of season 2 was the last episode filmed. I guess HBO wanted to make shows like Big Love and renew The Wire (which I find boring) instead. They did cancel Deadwood (which fared better because HBO is allowing the creators to wrap up theseries with 4 more hours). HBO just wants a water cooler show like The Sopranos or Sex And The City. Acclaimed stuff like Carnivale matter nothing to them.

I did think the last episode of season 3 of FK was ghastly. The episode before that (Ashes To Ashes) was one of the best episodes fo the series. I wish they ended the series there instead of the downer of a series finale. Did you ever read any of the three Forever Knight novels (I own all of them and have the two soundtrack CDs)?
