post christmas

i love the beach in the winter time. it's so calm and lightly colored. the endless ocean mingles with the sky, the gulls hovering about each other with hoarse screams, one moment flapping on the foam of a wave, and then soaring aloft till their white bodies melt in the sun.

i'm glad your grandma is doing better. mine was in the hospital last year on christmas for a heart attack, but she got better. until she died this october, but that was something wayyy different. i'm sure yours will be fine ;) happy new years
