It's about a few hundred pages or so of random staring on Bella's part and really, really awkward dialogue between the two.
Yes... because, apparently, he "loves" her too much for some reason, even though they had little conversation/interaction with each other before Bella realized her love in chapter eight or something. (I dunno. Something about Edward saying her "being the most important person ever"? I still cannot understand how the two fall in love. Isn't love all about the attraction of personality, and not the looks or smell?)
Also, if you want to see how another person views Twilight, there's this site called "Blogging Twilight," written by Dan Bergstein. He started out as unbiased, and I think he judged the series fairly. Plus it's just a place for some humor. :)

You mean you had to through chapters of them being "vague", if that's the right word?
As for attraction...sometimes it is appearance or it can play a role, especially as a teen. ;/
