Last night I went to a debate of the city council candidates for students. I left realizing that I don't really like any of the candidates too well, and also I was poorly quoted in an article in today's Iowa City Press-Citizen:More than 40 students and community members attended the candidate forum sponsored by University of Iowa Student Government

If you're miked correctly you shouldn't need to use a pickup. But then again, a violin pickup would be pretty sweet.

It was loud and crowded and the amp was having lots of problems with feedback. I turned it up all the way and still could barely be heard above everyone else. The only way I could be heard really was using the overdrive, but when I turned that on there were huge feedback problems, and I couldn't in the short timespan and crowded setup we had fix it to be much better. A pickup would be much easier and probably sound better.
