I'm so sorry to hear about your grandfather! :( *hugs*

Didn't I warn you about Greece and them being on strike all the team and such? You're lucky to get out of this country (off their islands), trust me! But OMG, Santorini is the MOST AMAZING PLACE ON EARTH!!! You'll love it to pieces, trust me on that! :D

Hope you'll enjoy the rest of your journey and get back home safe and sound! :)

You did indeed warn me -but I'm enjoying Greece regardless. I go to Santorini tomorrow and now you've got me all excited!! I can't wait!

Thanks for the hug and the love. My Nonno's funeral is today and I'm a little bummed I can't be there so both are deeply appreciated. *hugs back*

Sorry about your grand-dad :(

Greece is an economic upheaval aggravated by EU sanctions and restrictions so there are lots of riots going on all over the place.

Glad you're enjoying your trip, look forward to hearing more when you have the time to write.

I know all about the upheaval -i was in Athens for the riots and it was hard to go anywhere without seeing some sort of hallmark of it... like smashed windows or the lingering effects of tear gas (which tastes oddly like pepper).

I'll try to post another update soon -sorry they're so sporadic and unrelable! I try my best.

Ugh, sounds like you got hit with a massive level of transport!failure. :( And big tight hugs for your grandpa. Mine died when I was young, so I can't imagine what that's like.

Thanks for the condolences -I lost one of my gradfathers as a child as well so I know what you mean. This was much harder for me but it's hard to say if that's due to my age or the fact that i was closer to my Nonno. In any case it's a little startling to realize that I dont have a grandfather anymore.

Oh, and the weathers been gorgeous. Our luck has been so good its a little startling. I haven't seen rain for a month now!! ^^
